Hoi An
Hoi An town: Cycling along small and quiet alleyways we reach the riverfront of the historic district, long before crowds descend on the city. It’s a great time for photos. Hoi An Countryside: Crossing the river, we leave the city behind on our way to My Son, venturing off on to rural pathways accessible only to bikes and motorbikes. It's not long before we are pedaling through small villages, past family farms and rice fields, greeting workers along our way. Depending on the season, we pass rice, corn and even sunflower fields as we explore a very different landscape to that of the city. We'll see hardly any four- wheeled vehicles as we through a network of shortcuts and connections that only locals would know. The Cham Ruins of My Son lie ahead.

Would recommend!
Amazing experience from Hoi An! The bike ride was beautiful and at a pace that matched my abilities (as I’m not a very good cycler) with breaks in the shade to cool off and enjoy the views. The food stops (market, cafe and lunch) were all delicious and well timed for a break. The highlight by far was My Son Sanctuary and having a personal guide to help me understand the historical significance was incredible. Mr Easy was a wonderful guide and also gave heaps of recommendations for where else to go in Hoi An
Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful review. We're delighted to hear you enjoyed the bike ride, delicious food stops, and the visit to My Son Sanctuary. It's especially great to know that Mr Easy made the experience so memorable with his knowledge, support, and local recommendations. We truly appreciate your kind words and hope to welcome you back to Hoi An in the future.

Beautiful way to experience Hoi An and My Son Sanctuary.
Our guide, Tam, was fantastic. We hadn’t initially realized the tour included a three-hour bike ride, but Tam set us up with high-quality bikes, making the ride smooth and enjoyable. Tam is sweet and kind, comfortable biking quietly so we could take in the scenery, but always ready to share his love for the country and stories if you’re interested. The route itself was easy and a perfect way to see the countryside and towns beyond the typical tourist spots in Hoi An. You truly get a sense of how people live there. Tam provided water and bananas along the way, happily stopping for breaks, photos, and even brief lessons on things we passed. After the ride and a coffee break, we took a bus to My Son Sanctuary. You could tell Tam is genuinely passionate about history; he shared insights that really brought the place to life. His English was excellent, so he was always easy to understand. At the end, he took us to a fantastic food spot before dropping us off exactly where we needed to go. Overall, it was an amazing day, and Tam was a wonderful guide!
Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful review! We’re so happy to hear you had such a great experience with Tam. It sounds like the bike ride was a highlight, and we’re glad Tam made it both enjoyable and comfortable with high-quality bikes, scenic breaks, and his thoughtful attention to your needs along the way. It’s fantastic that you got to explore the countryside and towns beyond the usual tourist spots in Hoi An, and that Tam’s passion for the local culture and history enhanced your experience at My Son Sanctuary. We’re also happy to hear that his excellent English made everything easy to understand. Thank you for recommending Tam and sharing such a detailed account of your day with us. We truly appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you back on another adventure soon!

Amazing cycling tour
This tour was absolutely amazing! Though My Son sanctuary is the final destination if you love cycling this is a great way to explore the countryside and local villages around Hoi An. My guide Hoàn was extremely knowledgeable about both the local area and the history. The terrain is mostly flat but you need to have a medium- experienced level of fitness due to the heat it’s 28 km. Highly recommended
Response from the operator: Thank you for your fantastic review! We’re thrilled to hear you had such an amazing time on the bike tour to My Son Sanctuary. Cycling through the beautiful countryside and local villages around Hoi An is truly a unique way to experience the area, and we’re glad you enjoyed it. It’s wonderful to hear that Hoàn’s knowledge of the local area and history made the experience even more enriching. We’re also happy to know that the terrain and distance were just right for you, even with the heat! Thank you for your recommendation, and we hope to welcome you on another adventure soon!

Excellent well organised tour - great mix of history, culture, and gentle cycling delivered by informative and friendly guides.
This tour was excellent. The guide (Kay) was knowledgeable and extremely friendly. The tour consisted of a gentle cycle ride through vietnamese countryside, with frequent stops for water, drinks, and fruit. A mini bus then picks you up and takes you the rest of the way to My Son. My Son is well worth seeing, but a guide (like on this tour) is a must. The ruins wouldn't mean much if you didn't have a guide (particulaly if you were like us who hadnt dine extensiove background research on the hietory of the ruins, their discovery, and the general cham culture. In a nutshell, the trip was well worth it if staying in the Hoi An area if you want a mix of history, culture, and gentle cycling combined. It makes for an enjoyable day out.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your fantastic review! We’re delighted to hear that you had an excellent tour with Kay. It sounds like you enjoyed the gentle cycling through the beautiful Vietnamese countryside and appreciated the frequent stops for refreshments. We’re glad you found the visit to My Son enriching, especially with a knowledgeable guide to enhance your understanding of the history and Cham culture. Your recommendation for this mix of history, culture, and cycling is greatly appreciated, and we hope to welcome you back for more adventures in the Hoi An area soon!

Is Private Hoi An to My Son Sanctuary Full-Day Bike Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 83 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 143 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hoi An, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hoi An?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hoi An?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
