My friend and I had an...

My friend and I had an amazing experience on this San Miguel de Allende & Guanajuato tour - 3-day tour including Queretaro, and a huge part of that was thanks to our guide, Daniel! From start to finish, Daniel was incredibly helpful and thoughtful—he gave us great recommendations for accommodations and food that really elevated our trip. His knowledge is outstanding, not just about the rich history of the region but also about current topics, which made everything feel more engaging and relevant. What really stood out was how well he planned and paced the tour. Everything ran smoothly, and we got to see so much without ever feeling rushed. Daniel is also very friendly and easygoing, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. He went above and beyond to tailor the trip to our interests, spending more time on the things we cared about and sharing deeper insights that made the experience feel personal and unique. Highly recommend this tour. Daniel truly makes the experience unforgettable!

Response from the operator: WOW!! Madam.. I am absolutely obliged.. I must say I didn't expect such an over whelmingly thoroughly outstanding opinion. Thanks

We had an amazing 3-day,...

We had an amazing 3-day, 2-night tour in San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato, also visiting Querétaro, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide than Daniel. Daniel is incredibly knowledgeable—not just about the deep historical and cultural background of each site, but also about the small details that spark curiosity along the way. Whether it was a question about architecture, local traditions, or even something we noticed by the roadside, he always had thoughtful and clear explanations. What really stood out to me was how considerate he was with my parents, who don’t speak English. After each explanation, he kindly paused and gave me time to translate the key points to them, and whenever he interacted with them directly, he was always patient, respectful, and warm. I highly recommend inviting Daniel to join you for a meal—he’ll recommend the most authentic local dishes, and the conversation is always enjoyable. He also customizes the route and sightseeing spots based on your pace and interests, which made our trip both relaxing and enriching!!

Daniel is the man to make this trip the best !!!

I booked a 4 day trip with Daniel . He picked me up early as I requested. He's a very sociable. And extremely interesting and intelligent guy .he knows so much about the history of mexico. If I has a question he had an answer . My head is spilling with new knowledge. It was good to eat and socialise with him when not driving or doing trips as he's good company. We altered my tour slightly and stayed an extra night in Guanajuato instead of Leon . I was thrilled by this as it was the place I wanted to visit the most . I wasn't disappointed. He suggested the trips and I wasn't pushed or felt obliged to do anything I didn't. I've seen so much more that I'm still taking it all in . I definitely absolutely recommend Daniel 1000000 percent . You'll love everything you see and do with this road trip. His car is expecially spacious and comfortable too

Private Historical Tour in San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mexico City.

How much does Private Historical Tour in San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato cost?

+

Prices start at $350 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mexico City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Historical Tour in San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato take?

+

Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mexico City is not rushed.

Is Private Historical Tour in San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 28 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mexico City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Historical Tour in San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Historical Tour in San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Historical Tour in San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato?

+

Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mexico City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mexico City and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Historical Tour in San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mexico City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Mexico City?

+

On Outty we rank every Mexico City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Frida Kahlo VIP [Museum Tickets Included] Walk, Markets & Churros, Local Foodie Adventure CDMX: Tacos & more with Sherpa Food Tours, Mexico City Historical Centre Food Tour with 7 Tastings & Drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Mexico City?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Mexico City?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
