Teatro Romano
The Roman Theatre of Cádiz is an ancient structure in Cádiz, Andalusia, in southern Spain. The remains (only partially excavated) were discovered in 1980. The theatre, which was likely built during the 1st century BC and was one of the largest ever built in the Roman Empire, was abandoned in the 4th century and, in the 13th century, a fortress was built on its ruins by order of King Alfonso X of Castile.

Castillo de San Sebastian
According to classical tradition, the Phoenician temple of Moloch/Kronos was located on this island during ancient times. On this small island is the Castle of San Sebastián, which took its name from a chapel built in 1457 by the crew of a Venetian ship, which obtained permission to stop at this place to cure the plague that had affected them. The Venetians, to build this temple, used the remains of an old lighthouse, replaced in 1613 by a watchtower, which in addition to serving as a guide for sailors had defensive functions. The lighthouse was rebuilt in the 18th century and in 1908 it was replaced by the current structure. Castillo de Santa Catalina
The castle represents an important example of military architecture of the Modern Age and has survived to this day without major changes. It has a star-shaped plan with two well-defined fronts: one formed by triangular bastions that rest on the beach and the other open towards the city, where the only gate of the enclosure is located, protected by two bastions and a ditch, which regulated the Level of water through locks. Baluarte y murallas de San Carlos
The walls of San Carlos, are located, raised by the sea, next to the Plaza España, in the old town of Cadiz. Its construction was completed in 1784 by the military engineer Antonio Hurtado. This bastion could house 90 artillery pieces and contained 55 vaults for different uses. In some of these vaults, wells were built to store the snow that was brought from the mountains of Cadiz.

Best little day in Cadiz!
We had the best day in Cadiz with Salwa! We felt she gave us the happiest snapshot of Cadiz. We had the best walking tour and even stopped for water and had a perfect little tapas luncheon on a darling street. Thanks for a better day than we even hoped for. A little heads up for US visitors sometimes the internet was spotty so make sure you fully understand where to meet before leaving the ship! This was of no fault of the guide or the tour company for sure and they worked overtime at getting us to the correct meeting point

No food on a culinary tour!
We had almost 2 hours of our tour and we were headed to our “culinary portion” of the tour. The guide informed us that they were not serving lunch for another 1.5 hours. So, we could wait or we could have a coffee and a churro. Ok a coffee and a churro for almost $300….completely ridiculous. Do not book this. Just for the record, I gave them a chance to refund 50% of our tour price since we got no culinary portion at all. They declined our request…bad business all the way around!

It’s impossible to have lunch at 10:30 an anywhere in the World especially in Spain . and this is what our guide informed you to have coffe and churros or couple of drinks before the restaurant is ready to serve food in almost an hour. Your coffee and drinks were also covered by us and then your lunch as well. We gave you a chance to go back to the restaurant and have lunch that is paid by us Eventhough you have left the tour but our offer was still valid. Your husband Peter informed us that he was happy and he understands that you should wait a bit before your meal is served. After you left we have called you and texted you to come back and Peter said that there’s no problem at all. You have informed our guide that you’re tired and you want to go back to the cruise and our guide also informed that you seemed to have a personal problem that ruined your mood and you seemed bothered all the tour. If your plan was having half a tour then ask for 50% refund this is not possible simply because 50% of the tour is not only the food but the time spent in a private tour. We have differnt packages and walking tour that doesn’t include food also exists in our packages. All out travelers were always happy and we don’t accept any type of humiliating our team as you did in your last messages or any scamming attempts. Regards

Great experience, but not worth the money
The title and image of this excursion is a little bit misleading, or at least I interpreted it very different than what the actual experience is. I guess that's mostly my fault for not doing more research, but I was expecting to go around Cadiz and try different foods along the way, with a local who knows the ins and outs of Cadiz and the food in Cadiz. Also why put a picture of paella as your thumbnail and not even offer the guest paella on the experience? What me and my family experience was a walking tour of Cadiz, with a college student who was not even from Spain and also did not speak Spanish. I am not going to speak ill of our tour guide, because he was extremely pleasant and we had a great time walking through Cadiz. He was also very knowledgeable on certain places we went to and overall my family and I had a great day. At the end we went to a hotel restaurant, where they did have traditional foods of Cadiz, but it seemed like our guide was told what to order by the company and since he didn't speak Spanish we were not able to really explore the menu. I had asked to order the paella, but was told it would be very expensive and a lot of food, so we decided just to get tapas, which were all very good, except the tuna and potato salad type dish. We made the best of our day, even though it was not what we expected, but I would not book this again, or use Localysta

We intentionally do not make it a tour of several random bars, as during meal times many bars are very busy and may not accept new groups. We prefer to provide a reserved table in a restaurant which provides more comfortable and higher-quality experience, especially for private groups In your case, we also changed the walking route to make it easier for your wife, considering her walking difficulties. Since you requested the tour in English, we provided a guide who speaks your language very well and knows Cádiz, its history and culture. We also work with international university students living in Cádiz, as they can be very active and knowledgeable guides. Most of our guides speak both Spanish and English. Regarding the food, we asked about your preferences beforehand, especially because one member of your family has a gluten allergy. You mentioned fish in general, but paella/rice was never specifically requested. We therefore prepared a selection of typical dishes, with tapas being a very traditional Spanish way of sharing and trying different foods. Our concept is simple: **a private tour, a nice and accessible walk through Cádiz, valuable information, good traditional food in a great restaurant, and a customized experience based on your preferences communicated in advance.** We do understand your comment regarding the paella picture and will take that feedback into consideration. The meeting point was easy to find and everything was very well organised from the start. Cádiz is an absolutely beautiful city, and thanks to Ali we discovered so many hidden gems and local spots that we would never have found on our own. Our meal at the end of the tour was quite delightful. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the time spent with Ali in Cadiz and would highly recommend

A perfect day in Cádiz
Luis made us feel like we were one of the locals! He was not rushed, and very informative. He took the time to answer lots of questions and cater our tour the needs of our group. Our group ranged in age from 20s to 60 and everyone loved him. The feast at the end of tour was delicious. A wonderful memory!
