    1. Fatehpur Sikri

You will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Fatehpur Sikri. Located at a distance of 25 miles from Agra, the drive to Fatehpur Sikri takes about an hour. This fortified city is a perfect synthesis of Indo-Islamic architecture. However, it was built in an area that suffered from water shortage and hence was abandoned after the death of the Mughal Emperor Akbar. Most of the city is made from red sandstone and the  many halls and palaces are in a well preserved state. Also visit the tomb of the Muslim Saint Salim Chishti. +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +
