Our visit to Kusadasi was a highlight of our Mediterranean vacation. Ahmet was our guide and he was incredible! We had 2 wheelchair users in our group and he was very helpful with making sure we could experience as much as possible. Our excursion included a delicious and authentic meal served family style and an overview of rug making. I can’t recommend this tour and Ahmet enough! Great value and time well spent!

Magical Turkey Visit with the most amazing Guides

My wife and I recently had the privilege of visiting the ancient city of Ephesus in Turkey with Ahu, the most wonderful Kusadasi Tour Guide ever. It was truly an experience of a lifetime. As we stepped into this historical wonderland, we felt as though we were transported back in time, surrounded by the remnants of civilizations past. Ahu knows everything there is to know about the region and Turkey in general, and she has this ability to weave all these historical events into magical stories that left us hanging on her every words! Our visit to the House of the Virgin Mary was a poignant moment, offering a serene escape amidst the bustling ruins. Did a video call with my parents, who are devout Catholics, and even remotely they were deeply touched by the serenity and the historicity of the place. The moment we entered the Ephesus archaeological site, we were struck by the marbled ruins of the road culminating to the grandeur of the Library of Celsus, its facade gleaming in the sunlight. What made our trip truly special was the warmth and hospitality of the Turkish people. Berkay, our Guide in Istanbul, made us felt at home even before we landed with his awesome attentiveness and amazing efforts to make us feel safe and have the experience of our lifetimes! I had to postpone my trip for 3 months, and Berkay was right there with us along with re-arranging the accommodations and the flights, and did it perfectly. He took us to shopping hidden-gems and delicious local cuisine to the vibrant markets, every moment was filled with joy and discovery.

Response from the operator: Dear Johan , Thank you so much for sharing such a thoughtful and heartfelt review! We're happy to hear that you and your wife had such a memorable experience in Ephesus and beyond and that Ahu and Berkay played such an essential role in making it all come to life. It's fantastic how Ahu's storytelling truly brought the history and culture of the region to you in such a captivating way—it's always wonderful to hear that a guide’s passion and knowledge can turn history into something so alive and personal. It’s also touching to hear about your visit to the House of the Virgin Mary and how you were able to share that special moment with your parents, even from afar. The blend of serene history and rich culture that Turkey offers is truly unique. We're so pleased that Berkay's dedication to ensuring your comfort and safety made such an impact on your journey. It’s not easy to reschedule travel plans, but it’s great to hear that his efforts made the entire experience seamless and full of unexpected joys. Thank you once again for sharing your incredible experience, and we hope your travels continue to be filled with discovery and new adventures! Best,

Private Half Day Ephesus and Temple of Artemis Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kusadasi.

How much does Private Half Day Ephesus and Temple of Artemis Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $10 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kusadasi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Half Day Ephesus and Temple of Artemis Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kusadasi is not rushed.

Is Private Half Day Ephesus and Temple of Artemis Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kusadasi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Half Day Ephesus and Temple of Artemis Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Half Day Ephesus and Temple of Artemis Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Half Day Ephesus and Temple of Artemis Tour?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kusadasi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kusadasi and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Half Day Ephesus and Temple of Artemis Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kusadasi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kusadasi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Kusadasi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include FOR CRUISERS: Ephesus & Virgin Mary Tour with ENTRY TICKET+LUNCH, Ephesus Temple of Artemis and House of Mary Private Half Day Tour, Ephesus and Temple of Artemis Private Tour from Kusadasi Port. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kusadasi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kusadasi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
