All things Aswan!
We had the absolute best time with Basma on our day in Aswan. She took great care to give us a great experience and went above and beyond, especially at the Temple of Isis and with a unique experience at a local women's cooperative that I inquired about. Basma is incredibly knowledgeable about Egyptian history, the rituals of the ancient world, and brings a unique perspective as a woman and academic. I really appreciate her insights. If you're coming to Aswan or Egypt in general, please book time with her. You will not be disappointed.

Basma has an incredible amount of knowledge. she can tell beautifully about history, myths, rituals and so much more. she also highlights the spiritual side, which is very beautiful. She also takes care of the entire logistics side and takes care of everything for you. I am very impressed with everything and give her a 10!

Excellent service and lovely person
We had a wonderful time with Basma as our guide, visiting the tombs of the nobles, and Philae temple. Basma was very attentive to our needs and an excellent story teller. Her explanations really gave meaning to our experience of these ancient places, and she organised all the transport (including by felucca) meaning we could get from place to place seamlessly. As a bonus, Basma was able to find a last minute cruise for us, negotiating a great price - we are so grateful for our experience with Tanora. If you’re hesitating whether or not to get a guide, I would say Tanora tours makes it worth it.

Amazing day in Aswan
We had an amazing tour with Basma of the Tombs of the Nobles and Philae Temple. The experience was seamless with all our boat and van transfers organised in advance and Basma even provided some food and water. Most impressive of all was Basma’s knowledge of Aswan’s history and mythology and the way she shared these stories as we visited the monuments. Will be contacting Basma for all our Egypt tour needs and recommending Tanora to friends and family.

Basma: best tour guide of Egypt! Highly recommend her!
I HIGHLY recommend to ask Basma to be your guide! She is amazing! We were so lucky to meet her :) A journey through Aswan and Luxor with Basma as our guide was an enlightening experience! Her profound knowledge of ancient Egypt's history, Egyptian mythology, and hieroglyph understanding captivated us at every site – from the majestic Isis Temple and Horus Temple to the captivating wonders of Kom Ombo, Karnak, Luxor Temple, and the Valley of the Kings. Basma's passion and expertise brought the past to life, making this tour an unforgettable and enriching exploration of Egypt's extraordinary civilization. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a truly immersive journey through ancient history!

Private Half Day Aswan Tour Temple of Philae High Dam Obelisk: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Aswan.
How much does Private Half Day Aswan Tour Temple of Philae High Dam Obelisk cost?
+
Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Aswan usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Half Day Aswan Tour Temple of Philae High Dam Obelisk take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Aswan is not rushed.
Is Private Half Day Aswan Tour Temple of Philae High Dam Obelisk worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Aswan, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Half Day Aswan Tour Temple of Philae High Dam Obelisk?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Half Day Aswan Tour Temple of Philae High Dam Obelisk suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Half Day Aswan Tour Temple of Philae High Dam Obelisk?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Aswan can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Aswan and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Half Day Aswan Tour Temple of Philae High Dam Obelisk start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Aswan within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Aswan?
+
On Outty we rank every Aswan experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 3 or 2 or 1 Nights Mighty Nile Felucca Adventure, 4-Day 3-Night Nile Cruise from Aswan to Luxor&Abu Simbel+Balloon, 4-Day Nile Cruise sails Aswan to Luxor&Abu Simbel.Hot air Balloon. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Aswan?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Aswan?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
