Wonderful Winery Tour!
Do not hesitate to book with Rooted Wine Tours! Fantastic, polite, professional, polished and knowledgeable! We had a private wine tour and guided Ian in advance (during our initial call when we were booking the date) as to what we were interested in (Small boutique wineries with an emphasis on Pinot Noir’s) Yunni was our driver and so pleasant to be with for the day. Everything was on time and coordinated for a great experience. Highly recommend and THANK YOU!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the kind words—we truly appreciate it! It was our pleasure hosting you, and we’re thrilled Yunee could make the day special. Your feedback means the world—looking forward to welcoming you back soon! Cheers! Iaon

A unique and special day out
This was a really unique experience and a million miles away from the other bog standard tours that were available to us as cruise pasengers. We were originally in the small group but had to switch to a private tour when the ship changed its departure time. We were lucky that the owner could accommodate us at such short notice, but we had a great day and were picked ip in a pricate vehicle at the port as we came off our cruise ship. The vineyards were privately owned and independent, both set in beautiful locations. The choice and quality of the lunch was excellent and the transportation very comfortable. It was possible to buy wine, but tgere was no pressure felt to do so. I wish i had booked directly with the tour company and would encourage others to do the same.
Response from the operator: Ahoy Julie, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience in this lovely review. It was a pleasure having you both on the tour, and I’m really glad everything came together smoothly in the end. Wishing you many more great adventures ahead! Cheers, Iaon

One-of-a-Kind Wine Country Experience
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the private wine tour with Rooted Vine. They offered the convenience of being picked up and dropped off at our Santa Barbara hotel in a comfortable SUV. Along the gorgeous drive into Santa Ynez Valley, Iaon shared his extensive knowledge of everything from the topography of the area to the winemakers. His passion for wine and the bounty of offerings in this area shone through our entire experience. Iaon crafted the perfect tour for our preferences and curiosity, and truly curated a one-of-a-kind experience for us. On top of all this, he was fun to spend the day with! The winery and vineyards we visited provided personalized, friendly service as well as excellent wine! We appreciated the educational component and touring of the grounds, all of which heightened our appreciation of the wine we were tasting. There are not many tours we would repeat, but this is the exception! We would absolutely do another tour with Iaon and crew, knowing each experience would be unique and memorable.
Response from the operator: Omg thank you! Please come back and see us soon!! This is such a thoughtful review. 😊 thank you for taking the time to write this!

Kinda bothered that trip adviser didn't think I wrote enough
Great tour, especially for first timers. Who knew there was more to wine than just red v. white :) Kinda bothered that trip adviser didn't think I wrote enough
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to write this review. It means the world to us! Come back and see us to learn more interesting wine facts! Cheers, Iaon

Worth every penny
Outstanding and memorable experience! Iaon planned two days of private guided wine tastings for us and we couldn't have been happier and more satisfied. Everything was done to perfection. We visited a total of six wineries and each was different and excellent in their own way. Our tour guide Eyton was really fun to be with and easy to talk to. He went above and beyond to be helpful, by getting us our picnic lunches both days, carrying our cases of wine, and transferring them to our car at the hotel! He even took us to an olive oil tasting because we had extra time. We would not have had access to many of those wineries and wouldn't have been able to find them without Eyton. It was a fantastic, memorable way to celebrate our 24th anniversary. Worth every penny, and we'll definitely use them again the next time we're in the area.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to write this amazing review! We appreciate the opportunity to be your guide and help you celebrate! Cheers!

Private Guided Wine Country Tour from Santa Barbara: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santa Barbara.
How much does Private Guided Wine Country Tour from Santa Barbara cost?
+
Prices start at $375 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Santa Barbara usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Guided Wine Country Tour from Santa Barbara take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Santa Barbara is not rushed.
Is Private Guided Wine Country Tour from Santa Barbara worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Santa Barbara, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Guided Wine Country Tour from Santa Barbara?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Guided Wine Country Tour from Santa Barbara suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Guided Wine Country Tour from Santa Barbara?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santa Barbara can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santa Barbara and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Guided Wine Country Tour from Santa Barbara start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Santa Barbara within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Santa Barbara?
+
Santa Barbara runs wine tours into the Santa Ynez Valley, harbour sailing and whale watching, Channel Islands day trips, and Spanish colonial walking tours through the Presidio and Mission. Tasting-room access and group size make the biggest difference in wine tours here. On Outty we rank every Santa Barbara experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Santa Barbara Electric Bike Tour, Kayak Tour of Santa Barbara with Experienced Guide, Small-Group Wine Tour in Santa Barbara to Exclusive Vineyards. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Santa Barbara?
+
March to June and September to November, dodging the May and June marine layer. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Santa Barbara?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
