Great trip and great tour company

I contacted GFP as I liked one of their tours (Polish Landscapes) but wanted to modify it to exclude some parts and include other cities relevant to my family history. Tomasz was extremely helpful and sorted it all out, even when the start date changed. Our driver/guide, Wojtek, was really lovely and accomodating (especially when we could never be quite on time!). I was taking my 3 kids to see their roots, and while there were a few things more geared towards adults, for the most part they had a great time. Highlights for them included the Warsaw Uni gardens, Jasna Gora monastery, the national park at Narodowy, Kraków’s Museum of Illusions and Wieliczka salt mine, Zakopane and the gravitational slide and thermal baths, and Poznan’s goats. A highlight for me was getting to see the New Jewish Cemetery at Bytom, which GFP tried for weeks to organise to open for me on they day we were there and even when we were pulling up was still iffy! All in all it was a fantastic trip and I cannot recommend GFP Travel highly enough.

    Courteous, friendly, professional, highly recommend.

We used GFP travel during our 10-day stay in Poland, covering Warsaw, Krakow and Zakopane. Because we used their services for transportation and day trips only (we made our own accommodations), we had several different drivers. We could not have been happier with their professionalism, punctuality and knowledge of Poland's history. They were all happy to chat and answer questions. They helped with luggage and vehicles were all very comfortable. We were 100% happy and highly recommend their services if you are traveling to this part of the world.

Response from the operator: Kelly, thank you for your long and comprehensive review of your trip with GFP Travel in Poland. I hope you'll join us again on another trip to Poland or Central Europe. We look forward to seeing you again and thank you again! GFP Travel Team

I found my Polish roots! Rafal helped us in ways we could not have imagined!

We came to Poland from the USA for a 10 day tour, then hired Rafal to help us find my grandmother's family. Rafal was amazing! He found her church in Kamien and then found my great grandparents' graves! He spoke with a priest who directed us to a tire store a mile away. We met a second cousin, his mother and aunt. Rafal interpreted this joyful reunion! We were able to add many unknown relatives to our family tree with his help. We will call him again when we return!

Response from the operator: Janet, thank you for your opinion and all the good words about us and our services. Our team always do our best to make the trips and tours remarkable. Don't hesitate to contact us by email when you will plan to come to Poland or Central Europe.

Great day trip in Southern Poland!

We took a day trip from Krakow to visit the Wieliczka Salt mine, Auschwitz/Birkenau, and Wadowice. Rafi was our driver and he was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the sites and sounds of Poland. We didn’t have any tickets for Auschwitz and he helped us to strategize the best way to give us an opportunity to get them. (Highly recommend you book in advance!) He rearranged our itinerary and we luckily we were able to get last minute tickets, thanks to him! He was very sensitive to my elderly mother’s needs and made sure he was attentive to making her comfortable. We had a fantastic day trip thanks to Rafi, and we highly recommend using their services if you need a driver in Poland!

    GFP is the Best

I recently booked a custom 13 day tour for 9 friends and me to tour Poland and Prague. It was great. I had been planning this tour for years and knew what I wanted and didn't want. I talked to a number of travel agents before booking with GFP. The other agents would not go to some places I wanted to go or tried to push me into one of their cookie cutter standard tours. Also, the travel agents that were based in the US couldn't answer many of my questions or needed days to get answers. I wasn't comfortable dealing with them as I felt they didn't have a detailed understanding of Poland. GFP was another story. What I heard every time from Tomasz at GFP was Yes, we can do that. He also offered opinions as to places I did not have on my list but there was no pressure. He answered my many questions promptly and accurately. He put together or tour with the maximum amount of touring time at a cost that was very reasonable. The tour went off without a hitch. Our guide was very friendly. He played, polkas and other music during our travel time in the van. He told corny jokes and taught us Polish words and phrases. Of course, he was very knowledgeable about Poland and Prague including present and past history. By the time the trip was over, we considered him to be a friend. Our driver kept us safe on the roads and endured the traffic and parking hassles that we would have had to deal with without him. He also was very friendly and we got to know him well. He also became our friend. If you are planning a tour to Poland, My advice would be to stay away from travel agents outside of Poland. These agents will try to put a tour together but they really don't have the knowledge or resources that an agent in Poland has. GFP is a first class travel agent. Just read their reviews and you will see the overwhelming positive responses they have received. Add our experience to all the other positive responses. I would Recommend GFP highly and would use them again without hesitation.

Response from the operator: Leo, Thank you very much for such a thorough and detailed review after your trip with us. I'm glad you noticed one thing - no one knows their country and its attractions better than a local travel agency like GFP Travel in Poland. Moreover, as you noticed, our prices were reasonable and did not include an additional intermediary margin. I well remember our emails from the beginning of this year, in which we agreed on everything. It is also thanks to you personaly, that you devoted so much time to ensuring that your group of friends had a well-prepared trip. Therefore, we invite other groups on trips around Poland and neighboring countries, both according to the programs available on our website and tailor-made ones. Thank you once again, Leo, for choosing our travel agency! Greetings from Poland ! Tomasz

Private guide-driver & van services in Poland & Central Europe: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Warsaw.

How much does Private guide-driver & van services in Poland & Central Europe cost?

    +

Prices start at $450 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Warsaw usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private guide-driver & van services in Poland & Central Europe take?

    +

Plan for about 24 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Warsaw is not rushed.

Is Private guide-driver & van services in Poland & Central Europe worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Warsaw, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private guide-driver & van services in Poland & Central Europe?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Private guide-driver & van services in Poland & Central Europe suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 24-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private guide-driver & van services in Poland & Central Europe?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Warsaw can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Warsaw and add a light layer if any part of the 24-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private guide-driver & van services in Poland & Central Europe start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Warsaw within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Warsaw?

    +

On Outty we rank every Warsaw experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Discover the Dark Side of Warsaw in Praga District by Retro Bus, Private Tour: Warsaw City Sightseeing by Retro Fiat, Warsaw for WWII Buffs - private tour with hotel pickup. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Warsaw?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Warsaw?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
