A Remarkable Journey
My visit to the Giza Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum was unforgettable! Standing before the Great Pyramid and the Sphinx was surreal—our guide Islam stories brought the ancient wonders to life. The panoramic views and a short camel ride added an adventurous touch. At the Grand Egyptian Museum, the collection of King Tutankhamun’s treasures stole the show, alongside beautifully displayed artifacts and mummies. The modern design and interactive exhibits made the experience truly engaging. A perfect blend of history and discovery, this tour is a must for anyone visiting Cairo. Don’t forget comfortable shoes and a camera for the breathtaking moments

Family trip To Egyptian museum and the Pyramids
my wife, my twin kids, and myself had Sarah as our guide for a full day. She took us to the Egyptian museum in Cairo and then for a visit at the pyramids and the Sphinx. We were extremely happy to have her as our guide, at the end it is important to have a good guide, with wealth of knowledge, and most important to be willing to transfer his knowledge to you as a tourist. Sarah had all this, excellent knowledge of the Egyptian history, and simple way to deliver this knowledge to us and she had her style to keep 11 years old kids engaged in our visit. She Also has the passion about the history of Egypt. At every piece we stopped at the museum, she explained it to us thoroughly. During our visit to the pyramids she showed that she is ready to distinguish herself from all the other guides we saw at the sight. She not only explained to us about the history of the pyramids, and the techniques of building them, but also took us to the spots we very peculiar pictures can be taken. My kids were very happy with the remarkable pictures she took for them and at the best locations and at the best angles. I have seen guides in front of us walking beside these peculiar locations without stopping to tell their customers about the best places to make good pictures while we stood at each place to take these pictures. Her style with the kids was very attentive, that they were encouraged to ask questions and to turn their trip into not only a fun vacation, but also a learning journey. Thank you Sarah for the time and effort you gave us during this tour. we fully recommend her as a tour especially for families with young kids.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your amazing review! We are absolutely delighted to hear that you and your family had such a memorable day with Sarah. It’s wonderful to know that she was able to make the Egyptian Museum and the Pyramids experience both informative and engaging for your twin kids. Sarah truly has a passion for Egypt’s rich history, and it’s fantastic to hear that her knowledge and personal touch helped create such a fun and educational experience for your family. We’re so glad your kids enjoyed the unique photo opportunities, and that Sarah took the time to ensure you captured the best memories of the day. We truly appreciate your recommendation, especially for families with young children. Thank you again for choosing us, and we hope to welcome you and your family back for more incredible experiences in Egypt!

Always helpful, always entertaining!
I did 2.tours, this one and another that visited Old Cairo and the new Grand Egyptian Museum ( A trial tour). I can't speak highly enough of my guide ( Yasser) who was an Egyptologist and therefore could answer any tricky questions. I loved the knowledge he happily shared and he made such relevant suggestions and knew the best times to visit different sites. I also appreciated the speed with which Ahmed replied to all requests and questions. They made visiting Cairo enjoyable and simple!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your fantastic review! We’re thrilled to hear that both of your tours, including the Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, and Egyptian Museum tour, were such a success. It’s great to know that Yasser’s expertise as an Egyptologist made a real difference in your experience, and that his knowledge and helpful suggestions enhanced your visit. We also appreciate your kind words about Ahmed and the quick responses he provided. We always strive to make the experience as seamless and enjoyable as possible, and it’s wonderful to hear that we achieved that. Thank you again for choosing us for your Cairo adventures. We hope to welcome you back for even more memorable tours in the future!

GREAT company with great communication
AMAZING FOKS! INCREDIBLE COMMUNICATION!! I would go with them without any hesitation....Now the full story: we were scheduled for a full day private tour from Alexandria to the Pyramids but Hamas had a different idea .. two days before our scheduled arrival the Israel/Gaza/Hamas war broke out. Of course we could not even get to Alexandria and on short notice, the company was gracious about refunding our deposit immediately. They are such good folks!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! We truly appreciate your understanding during such uncertain times. We’re so sorry that the situation prevented you from experiencing the full day tour, but we're happy we could assist with a quick refund. It’s always our goal to offer excellent communication and support to our guests, especially in difficult circumstances. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you on another tour in the future when things are more stable, and we’re sure you’ll have an incredible time! Stay safe and thank you again for your trust and understanding.

Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and GEM Tour with Egyptologist: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cairo.
How much does Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and GEM Tour with Egyptologist cost?
+
Prices start at $20 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cairo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and GEM Tour with Egyptologist take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cairo is not rushed.
Is Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and GEM Tour with Egyptologist worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 84 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 43 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cairo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and GEM Tour with Egyptologist?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and GEM Tour with Egyptologist suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and GEM Tour with Egyptologist?
+
Around 15 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cairo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cairo and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and GEM Tour with Egyptologist start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cairo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cairo?
+
On Outty we rank every Cairo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include All-in-One Giza Tour, inside Pyramid, sphinx, Camel ride & lunch, VIP Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx Tour –Inside the Pyramids&More, Best of Cairo Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and Grand Museum Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cairo?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cairo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
