Guide explained the limestone casing
Our guide Yasser explained the limestone casing that used to cover the pyramids. He showed us the remaining casing stones at the top. It was fascinating to see. We visited the Sphinx and the panoramic viewpoint. The guide was knowledgeable and passionate. The private car was comfortable and had cold water. We spent about four hours and it was the perfect amount of time. I felt like I understood the original appearance of the pyramids. Admission fee was reasonable for the private tour. Length of visit was about 4 hours. Atmosphere was architectural and educational. Crowd size was just me and the guide. Staff were experts on pyramid construction. Best for solo travelers who love architecture. Yasser had given us a casing stone guide.

Son was amazed by the boat pit
My son was amazed by the boat pit near the great pyramid. He asked about the ancient boats. Our guide Nour explained they were for the pharaoh's journey.
