Day trip Pyramid from Cairo

We had an amazing day with our very knowledgeable and professional guide Elham! We were able to see the Giza plateau, Sakkara, and Dahshur. Our tour organizer Zeinab kept us updated on the transport and was very professional. Highly recommend!

Fabulous Fatma

As you can imagine, these attractions are well attended and can be somewhat overwhelming UNLESS you are with Master of Timing Fatma. Fatma not only gave us the most understandable and interesting history, she magically was able to get us to the most coveted places before all the crowds. Not only was she a Master of Timing, she is an incredible photographer. We spent two amazing days with Fatima and our driver and would highly recommend this dynamic team for these two heavily populated cities. Fatma”s English was PERFECT! Absolutely no misunderstanding, easy to follow and she has a great sense of humor. Our driver navigated the streets masterfully which is saying a lot! We would definitely go anywhere with this team. Thanks for the amazing memories ❤️

Complete thieves - please read for your safety

It is with a heavy heart that I have to write this review. Seeing the amazing reviews on here, we put all of our trust on Pyramids Land Tours. We booked several tours a few months ahead in 2021 worth over $1000 and we decided to pay in full ahead of time. The communication was great at first and all was fine until our trip was suddenly cancelled a few weeks before our trip due to new government regulations related to the Omnicron variant (we didn’t cancel it by choice). Instead of requesting a refund I emailed Pyramid Land Tours and asked if they could keep the money but rebook for the same tours the following year , and they agreed (see email screenshot). The following year I emailed them to let them know the good news that everything was rebooked and we would love to tour with them. I sent them several emails, all of which were completely ignored. I tried emailing from a different email asking for a new booking and of course they answered, so I had my answer - they stole our money. It would have been so easy to rebook us - I even told them in one of the many emails I sent that I am willing to let go of some of the tours, or pay extra, but their greediness took the better of them. I don’t doubt that if everything goes well , they are a superb tour company as the many reviews have said….but if they have the opportunity they will steal from you. The tour guides are probably amazing and they are good people but the management / owner is crooked . Why take a chance that something out of the ordinary will happen to your trip or on your trip while you are with this company and your money will be stolen? Find an alternate company.

Response from the operator: Here's the response: --- Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and we are truly sorry for the frustration and disappointment you have been through. We completely understand why you feel the way you do. First, we want to sincerely acknowledge that you were let down. You trusted us with your booking, paid in full ahead of time, and showed incredible goodwill by asking us to keep the funds and rebook for the following year rather than requesting an immediate refund. That kind of trust deserves to be honoured, and we failed to do so. What happened was the result of a serious internal miscommunication. This is not an excuse — it is an explanation, and one that we take full responsibility for. Your follow-up emails should never have gone unanswered, and the fact that they did is inexcusable. We understand how hurtful it must have been to feel ignored, especially after testing with a different email and receiving a prompt reply. We can see how that would lead to the conclusion you reached. We want to be absolutely clear: it was never our intention to keep your money without providing the services you paid for. We deeply regret that this situation was not resolved when it should have been, and we accept full responsibility for that failure. We would very much like to make this right — whether through a full refund or rebooking your tours at your convenience. Please contact us directly at info@pyramidsland.com and we will prioritise resolving this immediately. We hope that despite this experience, we may one day have the opportunity to earn back your trust and show you the Egypt experience you and your family deserve. With sincere apologies, Pyramids Land Tours Team

5 star tour company with 5 star guides!

I spent hours doing research for our honeymoon to Egypt, trying to find the best tour company, and my research paid off. This tour is top notch, and we the absolute best tour guide. Gouda is SO knowledgeable and makes the day fun and exciting, and was so patient and accommodating with our requests throughout the day. You can tell he is so passionate about what he does, and he is an absolute pleasure to spend the day with. If you are in need of a 5 star tour company, book and ask for Gouda!

Private Giza Plateau and Pyramids Day Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Giza.

How much does Private Giza Plateau and Pyramids Day Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $23 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Giza usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Giza Plateau and Pyramids Day Tour take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Giza is not rushed.

Is Private Giza Plateau and Pyramids Day Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Giza, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Giza Plateau and Pyramids Day Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Giza Plateau and Pyramids Day Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Giza Plateau and Pyramids Day Tour?

+

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Giza can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Giza and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Giza Plateau and Pyramids Day Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Giza within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Giza?

+

On Outty we rank every Giza experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Camel, ATV Bike, Shopping & Dinner Cruise, Giza Pyramids VIP Private Tour ATV Camel Inside Pyramid & Lunch, Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Camel Ride, Lunch & Inside pyramids. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Giza?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Giza?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
