Individual und interesting tour to Petra with a gentle guide
Together with a friend I have chosen Jordan Private Tours and Travel for a one day-trip to Petra. Our guide Khader has picked us up punctually at the hotel. His car was modern and clean. He speaks perfectly English. So it was no problem to follow all his interesting stories about historic and modern places along the way to Petra. He noticed that we are also interested in historic buildings from the Crusader period. So he made a short detour to show us the view to castle Montreal, constructed by king Balduin I. We really enjoyed the time with him. After the visit of Petra he has guided us to a buffet restaurant. In a tourist hotspot like Petra we expected an expensive but worse restaurant. They offered the good buffet for an affordable price (with 1 drink round about 15 JOD per person. The ride back was safe again. We could really recommend this agency and its guide Khaled.

A great day in Petra!
Khader was amazing! We had an incredible day and Khader’s personality and knowledge added to the incredible experience. He knew the local spots to take us to, he educated us on the warm and rich Jordanian culture, and we had a lot of laughs! We highly recommend him!

Petra and Dead Sea
Our full-day tour from Amman to Petra and the Dead Sea was absolutely incredible, and a huge part of that was thanks to our phenomenal guide, Ahmed! From start to finish, he delivered a truly 5-star experience that exceeded all our expectations. Ahmed was incredibly timely, arriving exactly when he said he would, which set a professional and reassuring tone for the entire day. Throughout the journey, he proved to be exceptionally informative. His knowledge of both Petra and the Dead Sea, as well as the history and culture of Jordan, was vast and fascinating. He shared insights and stories that truly brought each site to life, answering all our questions with patience and enthusiasm. Beyond his extensive knowledge, Ahmed's professionalism shone through in every interaction. He was courteous, attentive, and ensured our comfort and safety at all times. He navigated the logistics of the long day seamlessly, making the entire trip feel effortless and enjoyable. We cannot recommend Ahmed highly enough. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, punctual, and wonderfully professional guide for your Jordanian adventure, look no further – Ahmed is simply the best! Thank you for an unforgettable day!

Khalid and Ahmed contributed to make the experience more exciting and interesting than expected.
The driver and site guide were excellent, both went the extra mile to meet our needs and wants. Everything went smoothly and on time, actually Ahmed, the site guide, went beyond the time contracted for to show us and explain details of Petra. Khalid the driver was a pleasant and reassuring part of the day. Thank you to both.

Private Full-Day Trip to Petra from Amman: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Amman.
How much does Private Full-Day Trip to Petra from Amman cost?
+
Prices start at $135 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Amman usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Full-Day Trip to Petra from Amman take?
+
Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Amman is not rushed.
Is Private Full-Day Trip to Petra from Amman worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 29 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Amman, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Full-Day Trip to Petra from Amman?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Full-Day Trip to Petra from Amman suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Full-Day Trip to Petra from Amman?
+
Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Amman can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amman and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Full-Day Trip to Petra from Amman start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Amman within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Amman?
+
On Outty we rank every Amman experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include From Amman: Petra and Wadi rum Private/Group Full day Tour, Discover Trax Jo Playground and Traffic Park Fun, From Amman :Private or Group Full day tour to Petra. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Amman?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Amman?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
