The Best Way to See Montenegro

Three days after our tour, the memories are still incredibly vivid. We were so lucky to meet Nino, a guide who is genuinely passionate about his role and immensely proud of his homeland. Because this was a private tour, the rhythm was completely relaxing and gave us the flexibility to adjust our schedule on the fly. Nino made it possible for us to witness the breathtaking beauty of Montenegro in a short period of time. We had such an amazing experience that we immediately booked a second private tour with him to the north—which proved to be one of the best decisions of our trip! 😊 Nino is professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly generous. We cannot recommend him and his tours highly enough!

Response from the operator: Thank you Lucia! It is great to hear that you enjoyed our tours very much. All the best to you and Ming. Cheers!

Montenegro

We booked this Viator tour expecting to visit Kotor and Skadar Lake, but what we got was so much more. Our guide went above and beyond the original itinerary and brought us to Perast, Sveti Stefan, and Cetinje as well, turning the trip into a full Montenegro experience. Kotor was absolutely stunning, with its old town charm and dramatic mountain backdrop. Skadar Lake was peaceful and refreshing—a perfect contrast to the coastal stops. But the unexpected additions really made the trip special. Perast felt like a hidden gem, Sveti Stefan was picture-perfect, and Cetinje gave us a deeper glimpse into Montenegro’s history and culture. Everything was well-paced, and we never felt rushed despite covering so many beautiful places. Huge credit to our guide for making the experience seamless, informative, and genuinely enjoyable. If you’re considering this tour, just know you might get lucky and experience even more than what’s listed. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to see the highlights of Montenegro in a day!

Response from the operator: Thank you Alodia! It was pleasure to show you around and meet you to adapt the program. Thanks for being a wonderful company. Cheers!

A wonderful day!

Nino tailored the tour to us and was very informative. We went on a boat trip on the lake, saint stefan and a walking tour around Kotor. Nino also helped us the following day by booking us a wine tour which was also amazing!

Response from the operator: Thank you Helen & Mats! Happy to hear that you had a good time here in Montenegro. All the best. Cheers!

Private Full-Day Tour -Kotor tour, Saint Stefan & NP Skadar Lake: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Podgorica.

How much does Private Full-Day Tour -Kotor tour, Saint Stefan & NP Skadar Lake cost?

+

Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Podgorica usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Full-Day Tour -Kotor tour, Saint Stefan & NP Skadar Lake take?

+

Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Podgorica is not rushed.

Is Private Full-Day Tour -Kotor tour, Saint Stefan & NP Skadar Lake worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Podgorica, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Full-Day Tour -Kotor tour, Saint Stefan & NP Skadar Lake?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Full-Day Tour -Kotor tour, Saint Stefan & NP Skadar Lake suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 2. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 9-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Private Full-Day Tour -Kotor tour, Saint Stefan & NP Skadar Lake?

+

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Podgorica can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Podgorica and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Full-Day Tour -Kotor tour, Saint Stefan & NP Skadar Lake start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Podgorica within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Podgorica?

+

On Outty we rank every Podgorica experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Skadar Lake National Park Guided Boat Tour with Wooden Boat, 2 Hour Group Boat Trip in Skadar Lake, Best from our coast (Kotor bay, Budva, Sv Stefan, Skadar lake). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Podgorica?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Podgorica?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
