Plitvice Lakes National Park
Plitvice Lakes National Park is one of the oldest and largest national parks in Croatia. In 1979, Plitvice Lakes National Park was added to the UNESCO World Heritage register. When you get to the entrance, your guide will pick up the tickets, and then you will start your sightseeing. The first part of the path takes about two hours, and it goes from the entrance to the biggest waterfall called 'Veliki slap'. Then head toward the lake Kozjak where you will make a 45-minute break. Here, you'll take a boat over the Lake Kozjak, from lower lakes to upper lakes. When you get to the other side of the Lake Kozjak, your walk continues to the place where you will take the electric train. This electric train takes you from your finish point to the exit of the park. Then depart from Plitvice at around 3pm, and return to Zadar at around 5pm.

Our guide was awesome. ...
Our guide was awesome! He had great knowledge of Croatia and was enjoyable to walk around the Plitvice Lakes together which is important when you spend the entire day together.

Wear good footwear.
20000 march around the lakes. Booked from our hotel. I am more mature than some but had no time to enjoy the views and lakes. The waterfalls were not as spectacular as expected probably due to the very dry summer. From photos and other reviews expected more. We must of walked well arrived back at the address 30 mins early. Paid about 80 euros for coach and entry fee. Only had time for quick lunch. I am sure waterfalls and lakes are more spectacular at different times. The other people on the bus were all friendly. The guide set up a whats app group for the day. My friends and I were glad to have a day by the pool next day

Absolutely beautiful experience!
I felt that it was a must see so we did everything that we could to arrange to go see it. Our ship ported at 10am and we had to be back on the ship by 6:30 pm for a 7:00pm departure. We were able to see all of the most beautiful parts with our private driver and guide, Renata. She was very informative. There are a lot of steps and it is a lot of walking so those with health limitations will may find it to be difficult. We also were able to see a lot of beautiful country on our way there. It is in the mountains and so it is cooler there so you might wanna bring a light jacket. Absolutely beautiful experience.

A Wonderful day at Plitvice
A wonderful experience mainly due to a real professional guide. Of course, the spectacular site of Plitvice Lakes and their environment are also to take in account.

When is the best time to visit Zadar?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Zadar?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
