The best of Beijing
Be prepared for long but very fulfilling day. Miss Lina met us bright and early in the lobby of our hotel. She had all of the transportation and tickets for admssion lined up for the day, we didn't have to worry about a thing. We started at Tianamen square, and made our way to the Forbidden City. The amount of knowledge and history Lina was able to share with us throughout the day was invaluable. She told us so many stories and was able to describe the meaning behind so much of the architecture - we never would have been able to learn that on our own. Lina was so patient, and she took so many picutres for us! Next we walked around some of the old streets around the forbidden city and enjoyed a nice lunch. Miss Lina ordered for us, and it was one of the best meals we had during our entire time in China. We finished the day at the temple of heaven, which is a spectacular place with so much history. Again, the knowlege and stories Miss Lina shares makes the experience so much better. It was a long day, with a lot of walking but it was worth every penny. Having a private tour guide in China is a must and I would highly recommend Sunflower Tours. They make it so easy - you don't have to worry about transportation, where to get tickets...etc. It's just the best, and Miss Lina is just fabulous!

Smile and professionalism
Sunflower is charming and professional, always smiling! We shared a wonderful day with her. We had very little time during a professional trip and her services with driver and private car allowed us to optimize the day and discover some of Beijing's flagship sites in excellent conditions: No loss of time, while taking full advantage of the sites visited (Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace, Tiananmen Square, Hutong district). Anectodes on local customs, some china history insights, everything was there to enjoy the stress-free sites in sites very busy with tourists ... (Summer Palace). Good advice also on the negotiation of “souvenir”, she clearly plays the game of tourists and not locals. In short, we recommend Sunflower services without hesitation!

A very interesting and amusing day
A friend and I spent a day in April with Sunflower in Beijing. Sunflower was extremely efficient beforehand and kindly came out to our hotel to collect us. She was very good fun, knowledgeable about the history of the city and flexible about what we wanted to do. Her suggestion for a dumpling lunch place was ideal and she was a great help with handbag shopping know-how. We enjoyed all her suggestions, especially watching people exercise in the park and mingle in the hutongs. Sunflower is an amusing, creative and admirable person who looks great in her new yellow sunglasses. Thank you again Sunflower for a very happy and interesting day; from the 2 Janes.

Amazing guide!
Please do yourselves a favour and book a daytrip with the absolutely wonderful Sunflower, I guarantee you will not regret it! We had such a great time exploring the Forbidden city, Temple of Heaven, eating at this fab little restaurant Sunflower revealed to us and then cycling around Houhai lake and the hutongs. It was great to be able to have a hasslefree day, Sunflower took care of everything from arranging entry tickets, navigating throughout the city and ordering at the restaurant. She also took great photos for us :-) Sunflower is worldly, well travelled and extremely knowledgable- she spent much of the day revealing interesting bits of historical info, along with providing a fascinating insight into Chinese culture.. I can't properly put into words how much of a great time we had with her! Beijing is quite a tricky city to see as English isn't widely spoken and scams are quite prevalent so we felt we had to be a bit on guard when we were on our own, even though we would consider ourselves to be quite young savvy travelers. Sunflower provided a fun, relaxing, interesting and authentic tour.. Enjoy your time with her!! :)

Why this scores 77
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Full-Day Tour Beijing City Highlights: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Beijing.
How much does Private Full-Day Tour Beijing City Highlights cost?
+
Prices start at $59 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Beijing usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Full-Day Tour Beijing City Highlights take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Beijing is not rushed.
Is Private Full-Day Tour Beijing City Highlights worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 26 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Beijing, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Full-Day Tour Beijing City Highlights?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Full-Day Tour Beijing City Highlights suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Full-Day Tour Beijing City Highlights?
+
Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Beijing can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Beijing and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Full-Day Tour Beijing City Highlights start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Beijing within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Beijing?
+
On Outty we rank every Beijing experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mubus: Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Tour with Summer Palace Options, Beijing: Top 6 Highlights All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour, Private Mutianyu Great Wall Trip With English-Speaking Driver. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Beijing?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Beijing?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
