    Our favourite memory of Croatia

We booked a few months in advance because it looked value for money for a private sailing trip, very special. The sail boat takes a total of 6 passengers and the captain Filip. We received clear instructions to meet Filip at a nearby hotel across from the port. He was on time and very welcoming friendly man. He took us to his boat and gave us a safety briefing. We were with one other couple who very friendly. They took to the front of the boat to start and returned to the seating area later. The weather was fabulous, bring sunscreen drinks and towels these are not provided. We did properly sail for a short time when the wind was right and it was lovely. We stopped for 2 swims, saw the Elaphiti islands stopped at Sipan for lunch and paid separately for our own food but sat together at one table. It was fresh, hot & delicious though not cheap, recommend by Filip. You didn't have to eat lunch, it wasn't forced, only suggested. Left a tip staff polite and welcoming. The fresh fish were huge if you like seafood. Brought local olive oil from a seller up the road. There was also the opportunity to try local wine at a decent price. Filip was a hardworking guy. He is easily to get along with and knowledgeable about Croatia and its history. He works for himself and has true family values that endeared him to ourselves. The trip was highly memorable and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this trip. Great for couples or older children. Beautiful scenery, very laid back and relaxing.

    A beautiful day at sea

A great day from start to end. The marina is easily accessible by bus 6, and we soon were on our way. A first stop with swimming from the boat for 1h; followed by a 2h visit to a small harbor village where we had great seafood (Filip made the reservation which was needed as the small restaurant was fully booked. There are a few other options and a small shop with drinks and ice cream); and then a short 15min stop for a swim on the way back. We brought water and some snacks for the trip. Had our own towels. Filip had snorkeling gear. Filip was easy to reach on WhatsApp and communicated proactively and responsive prior the day trip. He was also very friendly and helpful throughout the trip. The only “drawback” was the lack of wind and hence we went by motor most of the time but got enough wind for some sailing in the afternoon. All in all a great experience and a day to remember!

    4 days sailing tour

After 4 days full of sailing along the southern Dalmatian coast, all I can say is that my boyfriend and I had a really great time! Filip made us super welcomed. He is a great skipper who knows a lot about the places we visited . For anyone who wants to escape the classic tourist tours and is not interested in lots of destinations but simply a great sailing experience and small, cute and historical places, this is the perfect tour, even if you want to go on one day trip! Thank you Filip, we will definitely come again!

    Smooth sailing indeed

We had a great trip with Filip. He was incredibly communicative leading up to the trip and on the day. Made a reservation for us at a lovely fish restaurant in Šipan. The yacht was well suited to our family of 4 and the slow pace suited us. Highly recommended and glad to support an independent Croatian business.

Private Full Day Sailing Tour To Elafiti Islands: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dubrovnik.

How much does Private Full Day Sailing Tour To Elafiti Islands cost?

    +

Prices start at $590 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dubrovnik usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Full Day Sailing Tour To Elafiti Islands take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dubrovnik is not rushed.

Is Private Full Day Sailing Tour To Elafiti Islands worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Dubrovnik, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Full Day Sailing Tour To Elafiti Islands?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Full Day Sailing Tour To Elafiti Islands suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Full Day Sailing Tour To Elafiti Islands?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dubrovnik can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dubrovnik and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Full Day Sailing Tour To Elafiti Islands start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dubrovnik within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Dubrovnik?

    +

On Outty we rank every Dubrovnik experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dubrovnik: Game of Thrones Walking Tour, Dubrovnik: 7 Caves & Blue Cave Speedboat Tour (4h), Panorama Zipline Experience in Dubrovnik. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Dubrovnik?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Dubrovnik?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
