Not what we purchased itinerary
Although the itinerary was laid out for the places to visit and times allotted for each place, this was not the case. At the museum we were only there for two hours (not the 3 indicated on itinerary) and seemed rush. From there we went to the Coptic area where we went in and saw the Hanging Church and visited St. Barbara and the synagogue. After here our guide took us into a shop. This I think they work together because he was not in a rush to get out of there as we spent money. Albeit that’s not his fault if we spend money. After the museum and church visits which was a total of 3 hours (yet the itinerary said this would take 8 hours) we were headed to a papyrus shop because he said it was included. It was not. Then off to an oil essence shop which he said was not included. It was not. Then off to an Egyptian cotton shop. Again, he said it was included. It was not. I questioned these since they were not in the itinerary I purchased, but he said was wrong. I was not. Finally, I asked about the bazaar and he tried to tell me that the bazaar was the outside bazaar we saw as we drive by. I questioned this and he said we could go back but it be 20 minutes to get there. Google said I was less than half a mile from there. He also said that it was safe to go in there because the people would be hassling and bothering us. Leave that to us to deal with. Needless to say we did not go visit the bazaar. After this is said and done, the itinerary was made up by the driver and what he wanted and not what I paid for. Very disappointed. Yes we a nice tour guide but the overall experience in general was not good and for our first time in Cairo disappointed.
