    Wonderful day in amazing villages

My family and I did a full day tour with Guy and could not be more pleased with the entire experience. From the beginning while I was planning it, Guy was very responsive, had great suggestions and made everything easy. He was prompt to pick us up in the morning, and talked through with us what we hoped to see and wanted to make sure everyone (kids and adults) had a great time. He delivered! We visited Gourdon, Grasse and Mougins and saw amazingly beutiful villages, learned a lot about perfume, had a delicious lunch in a 500 year old building and learned a lot of interesting things. Besides being a great guide, Guy was a really nice guy and his love of the area really came through. I usually book tours when we go to new places, and this one was one of the top we've ever done. I could not recommend the tour more highly. Book it - you won't regret it!

Response from the operator: Hi Sasha, It's a pleasure to read your message! I'm delighted that you and your family had a great day exploring Gourdon, Grasse, and Mougins. I really enjoyed sharing the beauty and history of our region with you. Thank you for your kind words, and I hope to see you again someday!

    Wonderful tour

My wife and I Did a private tour with Guy to several small mountain villages above Cannes France during a cruise in June of 2025. All the Villages we were taken to were extremely beautiful , charming and very French. My wife and I had a wonderful time and I would highly recommend this tour company and especially Guy the tour guide. He took us to to Gourdon a small French village high on a mountain top where we had a wonderful French lunch . Guy really added a lot to the tour as he is very professional and is a wonderful guide with an appreciation of French beauty and culture. Would highly recommend doing a tour in Provence with this company and especially Guy.

Response from the operator: Dear Bruce, Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm absolutely delighted to hear that you and your wife had such a wonderful time on your private tour of the mountain villages above Cannes. It was a true pleasure to share the beauty and charm of our French countryside with you. I'm particularly happy that you enjoyed Gourdon and the lunch there. My aim is always to provide an authentic and memorable experience, and your appreciation for French beauty and culture made the tour even more enjoyable for me. Warmly, Guy

The charm of the small towns of the French Riviera with a great guide

The tour of 4 French Riviera towns was great! We - 4 women from a family - were delighted with the tour offered, led by a knowledgeable and sensitive guide. He surprised us with fabulous waterfalls that were not included in the tour. I highly recommend this tour. It was the most beautiful day of our visit to Nice. Thank you!

Great day out with so much information

Guy has a large amount of knowledge which he is eager to pass on being very passionate about his country and neighbouring country of Italy, we have been taken to places we would never have known about making our time in both France and Italy one to remember.

Response from the operator: It is extremely touching to read this. I am delighted to have been able to share my passion for our beautiful regions, France and Italy, with you. For me, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing people discover and appreciate the hidden treasures of these countries. Knowing that I contributed to making your trip memorable fills me with joy. I hope these memories will stay with you for a long time.

Private Full-day French Riviera and Hilltop Villages Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nice.

How much does Private Full-day French Riviera and Hilltop Villages Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $845 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nice usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Full-day French Riviera and Hilltop Villages Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 8.3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nice is not rushed.

Is Private Full-day French Riviera and Hilltop Villages Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Nice, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Full-day French Riviera and Hilltop Villages Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Full-day French Riviera and Hilltop Villages Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8.3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Full-day French Riviera and Hilltop Villages Tour?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nice can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nice and add a light layer if any part of the 8.3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Full-day French Riviera and Hilltop Villages Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nice within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Nice?

    +

On Outty we rank every Nice experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include ★ Walking Tour of Old Nice and Castle Hill, NO DIET CLUB - Unique Local Food in Nice !, Nice City Segway Sightseeing Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Nice?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Nice?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
