Highly Recommended
From the minute we booked this trip the communication with Karlo was excellent. The day before our trip he even sent us some recommendations for restaurants, wine etc for Zagreb in case it helped. He arrived on time, and was just such a nice guy. His knowledge of the area, history etc was excellent, his English is fantastic, and he was just great company. We spent 10 hours with him and didn’t stop talking. The trip itself was excellent, and the lunch he provided of foods he had prepared or cooked himself was outstanding. I cannot praise him enough, so would recommend Karlo without hesitation, and guarantee you won’t regret it.
Response from the operator: Dear Sarah and Garry, Wow! I enjoyed reading all these praises, hehe. Thank you so much, it was a wonderful day spent in an amazing company! Looking forward to our next adventure. UK and Croatia are not that far away ;) Wishing you all the best and especially many more happy travels :) Kind regards, Karlo from Bespoke Croatia

A tour to remember for sure!
Karlo contacted us several times prior to the tour to tell us what to expect and confirm an early 6:30 am booking time as we needed to be back at our hotel at a designated time. He was on time for the pickup and we were off! He spent time in the car explaining what we were seeing and took time to get to know us on a personal basis since we were spending the day together. He also shared a bit about himself during the drive and was extremely knowledgeable about Croatian history, etc. We arrived at the park and began our hike. After the first half of our tour, I realized I had left my glasses at a prior photo op location. I figured they were gone and we proceeded to go on the rest of the hike. After a portion of the upper portion of the park, he found a place to rest and proceeded to lay out a food spread that he had prepared for a snack with cheeses, bread, and items that had been Prepared by his mother and grand mother…totally unexpected! Then he told us to wait while he redid our whole hike to look for the glasses! I might add that it was cold, rainy day with periods of hail. He returned without them but he went the extra mile and more to try to solve the issue. We finished the hike only to find that someone turned the glasses into the ticket info booth!!! All this to say that he was so dedicated to us having a positive experience on our hike thru the park and went the extra mile and more to make that happen! I would hire him again in a heartbeat!!!

Why this scores 88
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private experience of Rastoke and Plitvice Lakes from Zagreb: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Zagreb.
How much does Private experience of Rastoke and Plitvice Lakes from Zagreb cost?
+
Prices start at $213 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Zagreb usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private experience of Rastoke and Plitvice Lakes from Zagreb take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Zagreb is not rushed.
Is Private experience of Rastoke and Plitvice Lakes from Zagreb worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 88 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 143 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Zagreb, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private experience of Rastoke and Plitvice Lakes from Zagreb?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private experience of Rastoke and Plitvice Lakes from Zagreb suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private experience of Rastoke and Plitvice Lakes from Zagreb?
+
Around 50 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Zagreb can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Zagreb and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private experience of Rastoke and Plitvice Lakes from Zagreb start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Zagreb within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Zagreb?
+
On Outty we rank every Zagreb experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Communism & Croatian Homeland War Tour, Zagreb Highlights: Old Town, WWII tunnels, Funicular & Tastings, Old Zagreb Private Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Zagreb?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Zagreb?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
