Highly Recommend!!!
We had a fantastic driver! Stopped at a lemon farm for a delicious lunch. Highly recommend a tour guide for Pompeii it’s a large site and the tour guide showed us all the highlights, answered all our questions and gave us comparisons to Herculaneum (which we went to the day before). Our driver recommended great spot on a fishing town for lunch it was delicious.

Disappointing there weren't enough tickets for one of our activities. Fabulous guide.
We paid a lot of money for a VIP experience and booked a long way in advance but on the day we were told that the company didn't have enough tickets available for us to climb Mt Vesuvius. We don't know if that's because other groups had been prioritised, or whether there was a different issue. But it was a huge disappointment and while we were given an alternative activity (a visit to Amalfi), our trip was to see Pompeii and climb Mt Vesuvius - everything else was going to be a bonus. Our driver, Antonio, however, was fabulous and if the review was about our experience with him on the day, we would give a 5 star review.
Response from the operator: Dear Caroline, We are really sorry for not being able to purchase your tickets for Mt. Vesuvius. Lately there has been a suspicious activity of someone buying large amounts of tickets in order to resell them at an higher price. Please believe us, we tried all legit and less legit ways to get you the tickets, but unfortunately we obviously did not succeed. We felt/feel sorry you missed this experience and we totally understand your regrets too. We thank you very much for coming out touring with us, and we are happy to hear you enjoyed the rest of the day in Pompeii and Amalfi Coast. Please keep our contacts for your next trip, as we would be delighted to compensate the missed experience with a free tour of Mt. Vesuvius. We apologize again very much for the inconvenience. Thanks so much for your time to review our travel services. Best Regards, Roberto D'Alessandro Touring Italy.

BOOK ROBERTO NOW!
We had a magnificent trip with Roberto. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and flexible. He took 9 of us from Rome to Naples for a fabulous pizza lunch. Then to Pompeii (he hired an amazing child friendly guide) and the Amalfi Coast. Several days later he picked us up from the Amalfi Coast and took us to a fantastic mozzarella farm in Sorento and back to Rome. We loved EVERY minute of it. His communication was perfect. VERY responsive! We cannot recommend him higher! We can't wait to go back to Italy and spend time with him again soon! Please don't hesitate for a second! He will make your trip seamless!
Response from the operator: Hello there, thanks so much for choosing Touring Italy for your last trip to Italy! It was our great pleasure to meet your beautiful family and travel with you! Thanks so much for your time sharing this beautiful review of our travel services, we appreciate it a lot! I look forward to welcome you back in Italy soon for other great travel experiences! Why this scores 56
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Exclusive VIP Tour of Positano, Pompeii & Mount Vesuvius: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Naples.
How much does Private Exclusive VIP Tour of Positano, Pompeii & Mount Vesuvius cost?
+
Prices start at $315 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Naples usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Exclusive VIP Tour of Positano, Pompeii & Mount Vesuvius take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Naples is not rushed.
Is Private Exclusive VIP Tour of Positano, Pompeii & Mount Vesuvius worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Naples, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Exclusive VIP Tour of Positano, Pompeii & Mount Vesuvius?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Exclusive VIP Tour of Positano, Pompeii & Mount Vesuvius suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Exclusive VIP Tour of Positano, Pompeii & Mount Vesuvius?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Naples can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Naples and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Exclusive VIP Tour of Positano, Pompeii & Mount Vesuvius start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Naples within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Naples?
+
On Outty we rank every Naples experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Private Amalfi Coast Tour from Sorrento/Naples/Salerno, Caserta Royal Palace & Gardens Small Group Tour with Shuttle, Naples Pizza and Tiramisu Cooking Class. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Naples?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Naples?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
