Wonderful day for our first visit

e had the best day of our trip with Senem as our guide and Sadot as our driver! We started with a short guide of the highlights of Ephesus all within what our kids (6&8) could pay attention to, then we had a lovely meal and met some very kind locals who showed our kids how to weave a carpet, and we ended the day at Aqua Fantasy so our kids could get all their energy out. The water was chilly for October but they still had the time of their lives. We ended out tour at the bazaar near the cruise port and Senem made sure we felt comfortable getting back to the ship after our shopping. Highly recommend this tour!

    A day at Ephesus

Selçuk was a great guide. Patient and knowledgeable. The experience was great, a bit of walking but worth it to experience the old Roman town. Also seeing Virgin Mary’s last home was heartwarming. The tour lasted the whole day. Atmosphere was clean and welcoming. No one at the shops pressured to buy anything. Selçuk gave us time to soak in the atmosphere. Oh, and he knows the perfect spots to take photo to look back on for memories. Lunch was tasty traditional Turkish food. The carpet shop was like a museum, amazing to see the production, and the leather store was bursting with activity.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a detailed and wonderful review! It was a real pleasure to guide you through Ephesus and the House of the Virgin Mary. I’m very happy to hear that you enjoyed the history, atmosphere, traditional Turkish lunch, and the special places we visited along the way. And I’m glad we found some great photo spots to help you keep beautiful memories of your day! It was also wonderful to hear that you enjoyed seeing the carpet-making process and the local leather workshop. Thank you again for your kind words and recommendation. I hope to see you again on another journey in Türkiye! Warm regards, Step By Step Anatolia Travel

    Ephesus With The Best

Absolutely fantastic day exploring Ephesus with Selçuk. He was friendly, incredibly knowledgeable and, importantly, never pushy or rushed. What I appreciated most was that he made the day feel like my tour, not a rehearsed itinerary. He gave me plenty of time to take everything in, answered all my questions, and let me choose what I wanted to prioritise along the way. Great knowledge, great company, and a genuinely nice bloke to spend the day with. If you’re visiting Ephesus and want a guide who knows his stuff but also knows when to simply let you enjoy the moment, I highly recommend Selçuk. Five stars — and well deserved! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

    Knowledgeable and Friendly Guide

Selcuk was a great guide for my daughter and I. We wanted to see the temple ruins in Didyma in addition to Ephesus. Selcuk set up the driver, was well versed in the history of the temple and ruins, pointing out markers and symbols and their meanings. We enjoyed lunch and the visit to the rug making school mid way. Ephesus was so interesting...he shared history and differences in the Greek and Roman sections...all of great interest to history nerds! It was so nice not having to struggle to hear a guide in a large group. I would absolutely book again! Note: shoes with good tread are a must here, as is a hat or sun umbrella and water.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that you and your daughter had such an enjoyable and enriching experience exploring both Didyma and Ephesus. It’s especially rewarding to know that the history, ancient symbols, and the differences between the Greek and Roman periods made the tour so interesting for you. We’re also glad you appreciated the private experience and being able to enjoy the sites without having to struggle to hear a guide in a large group. Thank you as well for sharing your helpful tips about comfortable, well-tread shoes, sun protection, and water. We truly appreciate your recommendation and would be very happy to welcome you back for another journey through Türkiye’s ancient history!

We had a wonderful tour today! Selcuk was an excellent guide—knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire experience enjoyable. We especially appreciated how well he managed the time between each stop, giving us plenty of time to enjoy everything without ever feeling rushed. Our driver was wonderful as well, and the comfortable, well-air-conditioned vehicle was definitely appreciated! We would highly recommend Selcuk and this tour! 😊

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your kind and detailed review. We are delighted to hear that you had a wonderful experience with us. It is especially rewarding to know that you appreciated the organization of the tour, the comfortable vehicle, and the balance of time at each location. Private Ephesus Tour & Farm Lunch: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kusadasi.

How much does Private Ephesus Tour & Farm Lunch cost?

    +

Prices start at $15 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kusadasi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Ephesus Tour & Farm Lunch take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kusadasi is not rushed.

Is Private Ephesus Tour & Farm Lunch worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 82 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 111 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kusadasi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Ephesus Tour & Farm Lunch?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Ephesus Tour & Farm Lunch suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Ephesus Tour & Farm Lunch?

    +

Around 39 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kusadasi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kusadasi and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Ephesus Tour & Farm Lunch start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kusadasi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kusadasi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Kusadasi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include FOR CRUISERS: Ephesus & Virgin Mary Tour with Entry Fees & Lunch, Ephesus Temple of Artemis and House of Mary Private Half Day Tour, Best of Ephesus: Private & Group Skip-the-Line Tour for Cruisers. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kusadasi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kusadasi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
