    Treasure Tutankhamen

Beautiful! Treasure of Tutankhamun still visible, the mask, two coffins one of which solid gold. Be careful now the pictures next to the mask is paid! And yes, take a ticket at the entrance for the photo, inside more ticket counter. You have to go very early in the morning or early afternoon otherwise the tail assured!

A trip with some hidden Stops.

I book this tour -( car + driver + lunch option) Had been spending several days in Egypt , this last few days .. (wanting something light and easy .) My driver (mr eslam) - punctual, able to speak English and good driving. Went to Egyptian museum and khalili bazaar - he left me at the entrance , give me plenty of times enjoying myself browsing around the antiquities. However - not mention in the tour descriptions were several stop sessions at perfume shop/ papyrus shop and Egyptian cotton shop - which I had to tell my driver I don’t wish to go and wasn’t part of my plan. Lunch - a take away koshary.

Hesham is the best tour guide

We had two days of touring with this guide, and it was a wonderful experience. We visited Saqqura, Memphis, the Great Pyramids, Graet Sphinx, Old Cairo, Citadel and the Bazaar. I can't really say a bad word about our tour guide, he was fantastic. Arrived on time, was very friendly, that was a good first impression. He led us to the car, with our own personal driver dedicated to us for the day, the car was fully (and effectively) air-conditioned, very clean and comfortable, and this is apparent when we had to get through the rough rural roads. And to the tour itself, it was very informative and, because our guide is an Egyptologist, any questions we had he was able to answer with ease. He walked with us throughout our visits, waiting for us (mostly my wife) to take pictures, helping us to take some as well. Anywhere we wanted to visit, or anything we wanted to buy, we can. The tour was flexible. The food: On our first day of tours, he brought us to this restaurant next to the Saqqura Pyramids, and it was by far the best meal we had since we came to Egypt. Hesham also made sure that we had water to drink, that we are OK etc. Hesham was very hospitable, friendly and will not rush you. And at the end of our 2-day tour, he did something what no other guides we met has ever done: This is not a usual thing for a tour guide to do, but he invited us to his home. His lovely wife cooked us a traditional Egyptian meal after that, we even had a go on one of those Indian taxi cart ( I forgot the name). This was about 9 o'clock, and the tour was supposed to have finished by 3/4 o'clock. Like I said, simply because he was very friendly and hospitable, and look at you not as a customer but a friend, that's what make me want to recommend this company over the rest. Thanks again Hesham

Response from the operator: thank you so museum for receiving your review with your kind words about me hope to see you again for longer trip around luxor to aswan

How much does Private Egyptian Museum and Khan El Khalili Bazaar Tour with Lunch cost?

    +

Prices start at $15 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cairo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

Is Private Egyptian Museum and Khan El Khalili Bazaar Tour with Lunch worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cairo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Is Private Egyptian Museum and Khan El Khalili Bazaar Tour with Lunch suitable for kids and families?

    +

How far in advance should I book Private Egyptian Museum and Khan El Khalili Bazaar Tour with Lunch?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cairo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cairo and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cairo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cairo?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cairo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include All-in-One Giza Tour, inside Pyramid, sphinx, Camel ride & lunch, VIP Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx Tour –Inside the Pyramids&More, Best of Cairo Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and Grand Museum Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cairo?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cairo?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
