Chandni Chowk one of the oldest markets of Old Delhi's main thoroughfare which is a chaotic market lined by hawkers and porters offering full medieval bazaar experience. During the reign of Shah Jahan, there was a tree-lined canal running through its center, reflecting the moon. Hence, the name "Chandni Chowk" came to being which means "moonlight place". Shopping at Chandni Chowk is fun as the market is distributed in several streets and these narrow streets are inundated with vibrant varieties of clothes, Spices perfumes, jewelry, vivid saris, candles & much more, while the narrow side streets are crowded with tiny shops selling essential oils, stationery, and traditional Indian sweets.

Wonderful journey in New Delhi
This was my second trip to India, and I was greatly helped by my kind tour guide, Sujal. He not only knew many of Delhi's places and streets, but also thoroughly understood its fascinating history, culture, religion, and local wisdom, explaining them well. Sujal was punctual, friendly, and patient, constantly reminding me of the safety of my belongings. He also knew all the best places to buy spices in Delhi. That one day was a colorful journey, from short religious tours to authentic Indian cuisine to beautiful jewelry stores. Sujal also helped me immensely as a guest in his country, ensuring my safe arrival at the airport for my flight.
