Best evening in DC
We had such a wonderful experience with Jeff! Our 7 year old son was so engaged and excited the whole time. We always felt safe bicycling in the bike lanes and on park paths. The equipment provided was excellent quality. I highly recommend this tour for families!
Response from the operator: Thanks Allison for your praise and I'm so happy you all had such a great experience. I'm also glad we were able to reschedule 24 hours later given your son's tummy ache the day before. He was such a trooper and I love seeing how much kids dig biking to all the sites, learning, and absorbing so much history. Thank you and I'll hope to see you all again!

Great guide, great informative experience, highly recommend!
We just returned from an extended weekend visit to DC and the entire family rated Jeff's nighttime monument tour as everyone's favorite experience (all 7 in our party)! Jeff is knowledgable, passionate and enthusiastic about not only biking but also about American history and DC. He knew everyone's names before our initial meeting and personalized the tour accordingly. We had a fantastic time with him, and he took some great photos of our family. His Giant bikes were all very well tuned up and everything worked perfectly, i.e. brakes, gear shifts, bells, lights. My family takes a lot of private tours since we travel around the world frequently, and we have had a lot of tour guides. Most in our experience may be well-informed and cordial but many are robotic and never learn everyone's names since they give tours day in and day out. Jeff is extremely knowledgable yet personal, and called everyone by their names. We loved the tour and would repeat if we ever returned to DC since the tour is completely customizable to your desire.
Response from the operator: I'm so glad you had such a great time biking around DC! It was a pleasure to get to know your crew and hear a bit of some of the travels you've had. I'm all the more grateful that everyone rated your bike tour as your favorite experience in DC and that my service ranked so well with all your other tours - THANK YOU! There are so many more things we can explore in DC so I do hope you'll come back again soon.

Best Bike Tour, Highly Recommend!
Incredible experience, highlight of our trip to DC! The coolest way to see DC. Jeff was extremely knowledgeable and had everything lined up perfectly. Highly recommend!
Response from the operator: Thanks Kelly for your great praise. So glad you had such a great (and cool!) experience and that it was the highlight of your time in DC!

D.C. Night Ride Adventure
Jeff was a sensational guide. His story telling and knowledge of D.C. was impressive to say the least. We learned so much and had so much fun - an awesome adventure. We especially liked the night tour as the crowds and heat were at a minimum. We would definitely do it again.
Response from the operator: Thank you Robert for your incredibly gracious praise and I'm delighted you had such a fun time exploring DC at night. Yes - during the warmer months it really is a great way to explore the city with fewer folks and cooler temperatures. And don't the memorials and monuments look so fantastic all lit up against the dark sky? Thanks again for your feedback!

Most awesome guided bike tour of D.C.!
We had a fantastic bicycle tour of DC with Jeff. He had so many great stories and fascinating historical information to enliven our ride. It was so nice to follow someone who knew the bike lanes and could navigate to the various parks and monuments. The bicycles were very comfortable and safe. There are so many unique places we would have missed without our expert guide! With such a short visit to DC - this was the perfect activity to see it all, especially with a teenager. (He was grateful for the snacks and ice cream stop!) With the summer heat, it was ideal to have the option of a twilight/night ride to see the sights lit up in very comfortable weather. We even had an epic stormy, double rainbow sunset along the ride - unforgettable! We definitely recommend DC Cycling Concierge to anyone who wants a fun, guided travel adventure.
Response from the operator: YAY! I'm so happy you enjoyed your tour, all the history, monuments, unique places, and activity. The combination of getting some physical activity while learning some history works really well with lots of teens (and folks of all ages). Thank you so much for your recommendation and glowing review!

Why this scores 67
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private DC Monuments at Night Bike Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Washington DC.
How much does Private DC Monuments at Night Bike Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $595 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Washington DC usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private DC Monuments at Night Bike Tour take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Washington DC is not rushed.
Is Private DC Monuments at Night Bike Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 70 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Washington DC, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private DC Monuments at Night Bike Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private DC Monuments at Night Bike Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private DC Monuments at Night Bike Tour?
+
Around 25 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Washington DC can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Washington DC and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private DC Monuments at Night Bike Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Washington DC within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Washington DC?
+
Washington is the rare city where the headline attractions cost nothing and the scarce resource is access. Timed entry to the Smithsonian museums, Capitol and White House tours, and the night monument runs by bike or bus are what fill up. Our ranking rewards operators who secure the passes themselves rather than telling you to sort it out at the door. On Outty we rank every Washington DC experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Washington DC Small-Group Sightseeing Experience, Arlington Cemetery Small-Group Tour & Changing of the Guards, Washington DC "See the City" Guided Sightseeing Segway Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Washington DC?
+
Late March to April for cherry blossom, or September to November for cool museum weather. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Washington DC?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
