Alessandro made our...
Alessandro made our private tour to Lucca and Pisa such a wonderful experience. He made us feel like family and was so kind and accommodating to us. He made us reservations for a restaurant for my family of 4 and told us tips on what to see and eat. He had an exuberant personality and told us so much about the Italian culture and history of the area. I would definitely recommend Alessandro.

We had a great time. Alessandro was very helpful and punctual. Speaks English very well. Gave good food recommendations and no time pressure. Will highly recommend for anyone planning a trip to that area. Will definitely contact him again when we come back. Tariq

Wonderful driver and tour!
Very nice tour with Alessandro, although we thought it would be more of a guided tour, especially in Lucca, Alessandro mapped out a tour for us and brought us to a wonderful spot for lunch. We were able to visit the recommended places easily on our own. The drive was very comfortable…Alessandro is lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed the day. We definitely recommend the tour but if you want a fully guided tour, this is not the tour for you.
Response from the operator: Hi Laurie! Thank you so much for your kind words. I’m really glad you enjoyed the lunch spot I picked for you and the custom itinerary I mapped out for your visit to Lucca—it was a pleasure making sure you had a comfortable and smooth ride! Regarding your feedback on the 'guided' part, I’d like to clarify a small point for future travelers. I am a private driver-guide: my role is to drive you comfortably to the best locations and share stories and local anecdotes during the journey. However, I do not have the specialized knowledge of a licensed tour guide, which is a different professional role requiring specific academic training. For this reason, a professional walking guide for city centers and monuments comes with an additional cost that is NOT included in my tour price. Many of my guests prefer this option because it keeps the tour more budget-friendly and gives them the freedom to explore on their own with my maps and tips for authentic, non-touristic spots. Of course, if anyone wishes for a deep professional historical tour, I am more than happy to arrange a licensed guide (with the related extra fee) if requested in advance! I'm so glad you had a lovely day regardless, Laurie, and I hope to see you again in Italy soon! Berst, Alessandro

A Wonderful Day!
Alessandro did a terrific job, taking us to all the best parts of Pisa and Lucca. He even gave us a recommendation on where to have lunch. On our way home, he made a quick stop to allow us to get a wonderful view of Firenze from Michelangelo square. A fun day and Alessandro’s stories made it even better!

The tour guide was part of the great experience
We booked the trip with Unique Tuscany. Alessandro, our tour guide was very friendly, energetic, took us around and showed us, and explained to us everything that went through. Very lively conversation, and very knowledgeable tour guide. It definitely helps when you have a Tuscany native. I would highly recommend this tour and the tour guide.
Response from the operator: Hi Max, it was a pleasure to meet you and spend a wonderful day with you and your family !! Thanks for the nice review and the trust you have given me. I hope to see you soon! A hug Alessandro

Why this scores 63
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Day Trip Tour around Pisa and Lucca from Florence: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Florence.
How much does Private Day Trip Tour around Pisa and Lucca from Florence cost?
+
Prices start at $113 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Florence usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Day Trip Tour around Pisa and Lucca from Florence take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Florence is not rushed.
Is Private Day Trip Tour around Pisa and Lucca from Florence worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Florence, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Day Trip Tour around Pisa and Lucca from Florence?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Day Trip Tour around Pisa and Lucca from Florence suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Day Trip Tour around Pisa and Lucca from Florence?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Florence can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Florence and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Day Trip Tour around Pisa and Lucca from Florence start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Florence within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Florence?
+
On Outty we rank every Florence experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best tour in Florence: Renaissance & Medici Tales - guided by a STORYTELLER, Florence Pizza or Pasta Class & Gelato Making at a Tuscan Farm, Small group Tuscan Wineries, Olive Oil & Gourmet Lunch or Dinner. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Florence?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Florence?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
