Fantastic tour! Not to be missed!!!

Incredible experience. Our driver Faed was so great. And Petra guide Mamoum was the best ever. To top it off with a camel ride at Wadu Rum! One of the best tours ever!

Response from the operator: Dear Debbie M, What a fantastic review — thank you! We’re thrilled to hear your day was such a highlight. Faed will be glad to know he made the journey smooth and enjoyable, and Mamoum will be especially happy to hear he left such a strong impression. Ending the day with Wadi Rum and a camel ride sounds like the perfect finish! We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back again for more unforgettable moments in Jordan. Petra excursion

Unfortunately we are not able to go on the Petra Excursion booked for next May. I contacted JHT who promptly refunded our deposit in a seamless process. Communication between myself and Basma from JHT was excellent. I have no doubt should we decide to visit Jordan in the near future we will utilise the excellent services of Basma and the team at JHT.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind words! We're glad Basma could assist you promptly and efficiently. We look forward to welcoming you to Jordan when the time is right. Best Regards; Jordan Horizons Tours (JHT) Jordan - Amman

    Great company to work with

Adding to the chorus of individuals who did not make it to Aqaba/Petra from the Celebrity Edge due to the ongoing conflict in the region. I spent 18 months working with JHT Tours. My group changed completely at least twice forcing countless interactions with Basma. Everything was always handled professionally and fairly. This cancellation required JHT to issue probably over 100 refunds which they completed in a very short time. I highly recommend JHT as company that offers great service and stands behind their product.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind words and understanding during these challenging times. We're glad to hear that Basma and our team handled everything professionally and efficiently despite the circumstances. We appreciate your recommendation and look forward to serving you again in the future. Best Regards; Jordan Horizons Tours (JHT) Jordan - Amman

    Petra Tour

Although our stop at Aqaba port was cancelled by the cruise so we were unable to go on this tour, I wanted to report that communication with JHT was professional, friendly and efficient from beginning to end. They responded to emails promptly and processed our refund in a timely manner. I would not hesitate to use them in the future.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind words! We're sorry you couldn't join us for the Petra tour this time, but we're glad you had a positive experience with our team. We look forward to welcoming you on a future tour. Best Regards; Jordan Horizons Tours (JHT) Jordan - Amman

Private Day Trip to Petra and Wadi Rum with Lunch from Aqaba City: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Aqaba.

How much does Private Day Trip to Petra and Wadi Rum with Lunch from Aqaba City cost?

    +

Prices start at $325 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Aqaba usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Day Trip to Petra and Wadi Rum with Lunch from Aqaba City take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Aqaba is not rushed.

Is Private Day Trip to Petra and Wadi Rum with Lunch from Aqaba City worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Aqaba, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Day Trip to Petra and Wadi Rum with Lunch from Aqaba City?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Private Day Trip to Petra and Wadi Rum with Lunch from Aqaba City suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Day Trip to Petra and Wadi Rum with Lunch from Aqaba City?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Aqaba can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Aqaba and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Day Trip to Petra and Wadi Rum with Lunch from Aqaba City start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Aqaba within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Aqaba?

    +

On Outty we rank every Aqaba experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 4x4 Full-Day Desert Tour, Wadi Rum Full Day Jeep Tour + Overnight & Dinner in Bedouin Camp, Diving, Snorkeling & Leisure Cruises by Boat. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Aqaba?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Aqaba?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
