Fantastic, perfectly organized day trip to Luxor with Marsa Alam Tours!
We did an excursion to Luxor today as a family (with our two children aged 14 and 17) with Marsa Alam Tours, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! Everything was perfectly arranged from start to finish. A very big kudos goes to our guide, Achmed. He spoke flawless Dutch and gave us incredibly knowledgeable and fascinating explanations of all the sights. His knowledge and passion really made history alive for all of us. Our driver, Abu Al-Dahab, also deserves a compliment for the comfortable and safe ride. It was an unforgettable day. We highly recommend this excursion and this organization (Marsa Alam Tours) to everyone. Both the sights themselves and the professional organization and guidance were top notch!
Response from the operator: Hartelijk dank voor uw fantastische en uitgebreide feedback!

Day Trip to Luxor from Hurghada
I, along with my family (wife and 9 year old son), took a day trip to Luxor from Hurghda. Although it was a trip with long rides and lots of attractions, it was made really smooth by the travel agency. Special thanks to Mr. Abu Al-Dhahab and Mr. Hamada, who drove us throughout the trip. They were punctual, friendly, and people with excellent hospitality skills. Timely but not so long breaks made the journey non monotonous without wasting time. The car provided was really new and clean with lots of cold mineral water bottles for a hot day. Also we would like to mention our tour guide Mr. Murshid Khalil, who was excellent in describing all the historical details with a smiling face on a hot day. He was very informative and shared some tips that made the visit to the historical places really enjoyable. So special thanks to all the people involved in our trip to make it a smooth and enjoyable experience for the whole family.

Exciting day and super organized.
The day began punctually at 4 a.m. Driver Asem arrived at the hotel on time and provided me with drinks and small food items all day. Guide Hammy quickly got into my prior knowledge and so we discussed exciting aspects of ancient to modern Egypt. Even if it's going to be a long day, it's worth it.

Day in Luxor with Egypt Tour Packages
Day spent in Luxor, the explanations of the guide were interesting, too bad he pushed to consumption in order to make us accept purchases not included in the package (the Nile by boat, the visit of a large souk, the visit of a factory of I did not understand what! The drive from El Queiser to Luxor is long and fortunately our driver Abu Al-Dahab was great, serious, available, nice with a nice touch of humor that was very nice. We sang and laughed during the round trip. Thank you, Chokran to him:-)

Private Day Trip to Luxor from Hurghada: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hurghada.
How much does Private Day Trip to Luxor from Hurghada cost?
+
Prices start at $80 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hurghada usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Day Trip to Luxor from Hurghada take?
+
Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hurghada is not rushed.
Is Private Day Trip to Luxor from Hurghada worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hurghada, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Day Trip to Luxor from Hurghada?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Day Trip to Luxor from Hurghada suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Day Trip to Luxor from Hurghada?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hurghada can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hurghada and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Day Trip to Luxor from Hurghada start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hurghada within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hurghada?
+
On Outty we rank every Hurghada experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hurghada Diving Adventure one Day with two Dives Boat Trip, Hurghada to Cairo: Pyramids & Museum for First-Time Visitors, Scuba Diving Full Day Boat Trip W/Lunch & Transfer from Hurghada. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hurghada?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hurghada?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
