Great way to see a lot in a short period of time.

This was a wonderful day! We were a group of 4, and Joe met us right outside the cruise port. He communicated with us through whats app. The vehicle was new with AC. Joe was informative, with occasional humor that kept things light. He pointed things out and gave commentary on things we saw on the way to Arles. Arles was simply amazing and charming and we could have spent all day there. He explains the history but does not accompany you into the sites to give guidance. Some places have written info.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your wonderful review. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your day with Joe and that the communication, vehicle comfort, and commentary helped make the experience pleasant. Arles is indeed a beautiful and fascinating city, with so much history and charm that it is always difficult to see everything in one visit. We are glad Joe was able to share the history and provide useful explanations throughout the day. Thank you again for choosing us during your cruise stop. We hope to welcome you back for another experience in Provence.

Wonderful Memories Made

Aziz Million took us on one of the most memorable excursions of our cruise. We saw so much in one day and were regaled with facts and history. His tour made us want to return to explore even more of this beautiful area.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience with us! We’re thrilled to hear that Aziz Million made your day so memorable, filling it with rich history and unforgettable moments. It’s fantastic that his tour has inspired you to return and explore even more of this beautiful area. We look forward to welcoming you back on your next adventure!

I can see why artists are drawn to Provence...

...even the sunlight looked different. The landscape was enchanting. Travellers should know that on this tour, while the guide presents an overview of each stop, he does not stay with you at the sites. We toured the amphitheater, San Remy, and Baux on our own. This is not a criticism of our guide; it's the way it's done. Our guide Joe was knowledgeable and chatty and gave us all the information we needed before dropping us off.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your lovely review! We’re thrilled you enjoyed the enchanting scenery and found Joe’s commentary both informative and engaging. As you rightly pointed out, our guide gave you an overview before each stop, allowing you to explore independently. This reflects our company philosophy: we want our guests to feel at ease—like they’re at home—while discovering new places. We believe in giving you the freedom to experience each site in your own way, without the rush of being constantly guided. That said, please know that our tour guides are always nearby and available should you need assistance, have questions, or simply want more context. You’re never on your own unless you choose to be. We hope to welcome you back for another memorable journey!

Perfect day trip from Montpellier

Our guide did a great job of communicating with us prior to the trip, as well as explaining the areas we would visit and itinerary for the day. We very much enjoyed our time in the south of France. So far it has been our families favorite day trip this vacation!

Anthony Miloni

He was excellent. Friendly and sooo accomodating, adjusting the schedule to meet out timelines and requests. The real tour we took wasnt listed. He was able to flex and provide private tour for my husband and I, to include, Eze, Nice Monaco/Monty Carlo's famous casino and grand prix race track. Great job. Thank you.

Response from the operator: Dear Anthony Thank you so much for taking the tour with us we looking forward to see you soon in Marseille

Private Day Trip to Arles Les Baux de Provence and Saint Remy de Provence: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marseille.

How much does Private Day Trip to Arles Les Baux de Provence and Saint Remy de Provence cost?

+

Prices start at $900 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marseille usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Day Trip to Arles Les Baux de Provence and Saint Remy de Provence take?

+

Plan for about 7.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marseille is not rushed.

Is Private Day Trip to Arles Les Baux de Provence and Saint Remy de Provence worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marseille, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Day Trip to Arles Les Baux de Provence and Saint Remy de Provence?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Day Trip to Arles Les Baux de Provence and Saint Remy de Provence suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Day Trip to Arles Les Baux de Provence and Saint Remy de Provence?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marseille can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marseille and add a light layer if any part of the 7.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Day Trip to Arles Les Baux de Provence and Saint Remy de Provence start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marseille within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Marseille?

+

On Outty we rank every Marseille experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Marseille Food Tour – Full Meal of Local Tastes by Do Eat Better, Beyond Bouillabaisse: Diving into Marseille’s Multicultural Stew, Marseille Guided Tour for 4 Hours with a Bilingual Local Guide. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Marseille?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Marseille?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
