The Pyramids Of Giza
The Giza pyramid complex in Egypt is home to the Great Pyramid, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure, along with their associated pyramid complexes and the Great Sphinx. All were built during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom of ancient Egypt, between c. 2600 – c. 2500 BC. Further Old Kingdom pyramid fields were located at the sites Abu Rawash, Zawyet El Aryan, and Meidum. The Great Pyramid and the Pyramid of Khafre are the largest pyramids built in ancient Egypt, and they have historically been common as emblems of Ancient Egypt in the Western imagination. They were popularised in Hellenistic times, when the Great Pyramid was listed by Antipater of Sidon as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It is by far the oldest of the Ancient Wonders and the only one still in existence.

Excellent service all round!
Excellent service to use here in Hurghada! We had our airport transfers (numerous as my family were coming/ going in different flights) arranged with HurghadaToGo and everything was very slick and efficient. We arranged Cairo and The GEM for the day, our drivers and Egyptologist were absolutely fantastic. Everything was timed really well and the contents of the day flowed incredibly well. Everyone was really knowledgable and Informative which made it an incredibly special trip. It was a really long day but we knew what to expect! We also arrange the stargazing / Bedouin experience which again, do not disappoint. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. (Separate review) All in all, communication has been excellent in organising our trip. The team are really responsive to any queries/ questions. The trips were excellent value for money. The itinerary in both trips was jam packed full of fun and magical experiences. Thank you HurghadaToGo… you have made my holiday extremely stress free and created some fabulous memories for us.

A budget friendly tour
In general, it was really good. The drivers were kind. They were professional and helpful. They drove a bit fast but it was fine by me. Our guide was knowledgable. -The boat trip was okay but they shouldn’t endorse loud music while the guide is talking about something. Might be more interesting to hear about historic events happening around nile (if any) -Pyramids and sfenks were great highlights. Camel riding was fun -Perfumery, didn’t attend -Lunch, lunch felt a bit weak, it wasn’t bad, but a bit weak, could be a bit improved -GEM, highlight of this tour. Impeccable and great I was aware of optional bits so it was fine by me. Attendees must be aware and accept yhe fact that nile tour and perfumery are optional. You can opt out but then wait for those parts to end. I still think perfumery bit shall be taken out. I understand it is a routine of the tour. Though a change can be introduced. A change as there is a new kid on the block, GEM. Pyramids are cool but GEM is Egypt’s new attraction equivalent as Louvre. The dinner can be done at GEM and i can assure you there will be more tourists interested in this tour. The tourist group was pretty good except the bangladeshi family. I am sorry that they were aggressive in the van and i think our tour guide was polite even after what that family asserted. And i am sorry about our guide’s short heart palpitation in the museum. He is a friendly guy. Thanks for the tour and safe & sound return.

Terrible. Unorganized. Pay for services advertised but not provided.
Three main takeaways from this experience: 1- use a credit card on Viator or as much as you can on the trip. This will give you leverage if a dispute arises with services or product purchases. 2- Egypt is actually VERY easy to navigate on your own. Trips, rides, planes, buses, and temple visits are also VERY easy to book and you don't need to follow a big tour like this to do it all. Would save a significant amount planning on your own leaving more money for fun, gifts, or additional travel. 3- Viator always sides with the tour operators if there are any problems or services not provided. They will back up fraudulent tour companies making promises they can't keep and ripping off customers. Lie: a small intimate group tour using a minibus with no more than 8 people. Lie: you will by guided by an Egyptologist. Lie: scenic lunch with pyramids in view. Lie: you will visit papyrus making place. Fact: the tour was a stressful busload of over 40 people packed onto a big coach bus with degraded A/C, limited room to relax, and no information given from guides. Fact: tour guide seemed to be notified early that morning about a tour. Stop at pyramids, sphinx, and boat ride included a brief (under 3 minute) explanation of the sights and you are cut loose to wander on your own with a time to return to the bus. Exception was the GEM which actually felt like an organized guided tour for an hour with another hour to wander on your own. Fact: you will eat lunch several km away from the pyramids on a random street in the city. Additional note: do not do the boat in Cairo. Don't. You circle around the bay, see mostly rough looking buildings, the boat engine is a annoyingly loud uncovered, smokey mess, and the boat is blasting Latin music like Gasolina by Daddy Yankee, Taki Taki by DJ Snake, and the Tiatanic song on worn out speakers. Keep in mind- this is the first activity at about 0800am after a 7hr+ bus ride that started at 0100am.

Day Trip to Cairo from Hurghada
Our trip to Cairo from Hurghada was absolutely incredible truly a once in a lifetime experience The tour was perfectly organized, with comfortable transport, friendly staff, and a knowledgeable guide who brought Egypt’s rich history to life. We started with a visit to the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, and seeing them up close was simply breathtaking. Our guide shared fascinating stories about the pharaohs and how these ancient wonders were built it felt surreal standing right in front of the last surviving Wonder of the Ancient World Afterward, we visited the brand-new Grand Egyptian Museum, and it was beyond impressive. The collection is beautifully displayed, and the exhibits — especially the treasures of Tutankhamun — were unforgettable. The museum’s modern design and attention to detail make it a must-see for anyone visiting Egypt. The whole experience was smooth, educational, and full of magic. From the moment we left Hurghada until we returned, we felt safe, comfortable, and well taken care of. If you’re in Hurghada, don’t miss the chance to visit Cairo! Seeing the pyramids and the new museum in person is something you’ll remember forever. Huge thanks to our amazing guide and tour company for making it such a perfect day.

Day Trip to Cairo
The entire experience was very well organized, and everything ran smoothly from the early morning pickup to the return in the evening. We visited all the iconic sights: the Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, and the Grand Egyptian Museum. The guide was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and spoke excellent English. He gave us so much insight into Egypt's history and culture it made the tour feel really personal and special. We also enjoyed a tasty lunch with a view of the pyramids and even had time for a relaxing Nile boat ride optional but highly recommended. The transportation was comfortable and air-conditioned, and we felt safe and well taken care of the entire day. Huge thanks to Ahmed and the AZ Travel team for such a memorable experience. If you're staying in Hurghada and want to explore Cairo, don’t hesitate to book with AZ Travel. They truly go the extra mile to make your trip unforgettable!

Private day trip Hurghada to Cairo Pyramids Grand Egyptian Museum: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hurghada.
How much does Private day trip Hurghada to Cairo Pyramids Grand Egyptian Museum cost?

How long does Private day trip Hurghada to Cairo Pyramids Grand Egyptian Museum take?

Is Private day trip Hurghada to Cairo Pyramids Grand Egyptian Museum worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hurghada, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private day trip Hurghada to Cairo Pyramids Grand Egyptian Museum?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private day trip Hurghada to Cairo Pyramids Grand Egyptian Museum suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 16-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private day trip Hurghada to Cairo Pyramids Grand Egyptian Museum?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hurghada can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hurghada and add a light layer if any part of the 16-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hurghada within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hurghada?
+
On Outty we rank every Hurghada experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hurghada Diving Adventure one Day with two Dives Boat Trip, Hurghada to Cairo: Pyramids & Museum for First-Time Visitors, Scuba Diving Full Day Boat Trip W/Lunch & Transfer from Hurghada. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hurghada?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hurghada?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
