Perfect day with several personalized visits.

We took the tour with Michela as our guide, who is a wonderful person and very professional. She has great knowledge and constantly cares about our comfort and needs. The driver Max was very cautious, and Santiago made our visit to Pompeii super interesting. The best part was the company of Michela, who was very kind. Taking the tour with MamamiaItalia means not worrying about anything and just enjoying. I recommend it 100%.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are delighted to hear that you had such a memorable experience with Michela, Max, and Santiago. Your kind words about their professionalism, knowledge, and care mean a lot to us. We’re especially happy that Michela made you feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout the day. Thank you for recommending Mama Mia Italia, and we hope to welcome you back for another unforgettable experience in Italy!

    Bucket list day was amazing!

Our private tour with our guide Dina and driver Max made for an incredible day! They kept us informed ahead of time which was very helpful. They were on time and very courteous. It was just my husband and me so we got all Dina’s attention. We learned a tremendous amount about so many topics! Our archeologist guide, Gerrano, was wonderful as well. Very engaging and we loved his “use your imagination” theme for the day. You could really tell he A. Knew his material and B. Loves Pompeii with a passion! The pizza and rest of the lunch in Naples was amazing. Our walking tour was quite informative and another highlight was seeing the veiled Christ statue. Simply stunning. We hit a lot of traffic in our way back to Rome, but our guide had warned that might be the case. Max was a great driver and we were able to stop for drinks, pitstops, etc. well paced day overall and I would lightly recommend this group of people for a wonderful day in Pompeii/Naples.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re truly happy to hear that your day with Dina and Max was so special. A special thank you from them as well. Our goal is always to offer an engaging, informative, and well-organized experience, and reading that you returned home with such great memories brings us so much joy. Pompeii, Naples, and their wonders – like the Veiled Christ – are truly breathtaking, and we’re glad you were able to experience them to the fullest. We hope to accompany you again in the future for more adventures in Italy! Warm regards from the whole team!

    Day trip to Pompei

They picked us up from our hotel and we had an amazing experience with Max and Paula. They were so kind and professional. We had Ciro as our guide for Pompeii and he was amazing. He is a legend there and was incredibly knowledgeable. So some amazing views in Naples and had a wonderful lunch down by the water. I highly recommend this group. Our family loved the trip.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are absolutely delighted to hear that your experience with Max, Paola, and our guide Ciro was so positive. Knowing that your family enjoyed the views of Naples and the seaside lunch truly makes us happy. We hope to see you again soon for another adventure together! Warm regards from all of our team!

Five Star Tour. Loved all of it.

This experience could not have been better. We are a family of five, with my 82 year old mom using a walking stick and my husband in a wheelchair with a cast. I spent a long time researching tours with accessibility accommodations and feel like I hit the jackpot. Our driver Max and guide Paula picked us up at our hotel in a spacious Mercedes van that comfortably fit our very tall family and collapsable wheel chair. They took such good care of us and even communicated our requests to our amazing Pompeii guide Ciro. Ciro grew up in the area and was the perfect guide. He was so accommodating and gave a very informative tour, making sure we found as many wheelchair paths as possible. Loved the visit to Naples and delicious lunch location. It was an amazing day and cannot recommend this experience with Max, Paula, and Ciro enough. This is the trip you want.

Response from the operator: We really thank you very much for your kind and enthusiastic words, we are extremely pleased to know that you enjoyed the tour so much and we really hope to meet you again soon!

Private Day Trip from Rome: Pompeii and Naples with Lunch Included: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rome.

How much does Private Day Trip from Rome: Pompeii and Naples with Lunch Included cost?

    +

Prices start at $303 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rome usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Day Trip from Rome: Pompeii and Naples with Lunch Included take?

    +

Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rome is not rushed.

Is Private Day Trip from Rome: Pompeii and Naples with Lunch Included worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rome, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Day Trip from Rome: Pompeii and Naples with Lunch Included?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Day Trip from Rome: Pompeii and Naples with Lunch Included suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Day Trip from Rome: Pompeii and Naples with Lunch Included?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rome can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rome and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Day Trip from Rome: Pompeii and Naples with Lunch Included start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rome within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Rome?

    +

Rome runs on skip-the-line access. The Colosseum underground, the Vatican before opening, and the catacombs south of the walls all require a licensed operator, and the price gap between the good ones and the rest is smaller than you would expect. We rank by guide credentials, group size and how reliably the promised access actually materialises. On Outty we rank every Rome experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rome Pasta and Tiramisu Class: Ravioli, Fettuccine & Fine Wine 5*, Pasta Making & Wine Tasting with Dinner in Frascati from Rome, Rome: Pizza & Tiramisu or Gelato Class with Flowing Fine Wine 5*. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Rome?

    +

April, May, September and October. August is hot and half the city is shut. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Rome?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
