    What you'll see and do

    1. Audi Forum Ingolstadt

The Audi Museum in Ingolstadt is an important stop on your private day trip. Opened in 2000, the museum's imaginative circular glass and steel building is a perfect example of 21st century modern architecture. As well as documenting the history of the Audi brand to the present day, it also houses an exclusive car showroom. The tour starts on the third floor and is divided into different time periods from 1899 to the present day. The museum houses more than 100 cars and motorcycles from all periods of the brand's history, as well as many practical multimedia aids. A unique feature is the paternoster (an open lift in constant motion), with vehicles on platforms that rotate from the upper to the lower level. You will have 2 hours for this stop on your private tour. The private driver will then transfer you to the next amazing sightseeing stop.

    2. Augsburg Town Hall

Another interesting sightseeing stop on the private tour is the monumental Augsburg Town Hall, built in 1610 during the city's heyday. It was designed to reflect the wealth and power of the city during the Renaissance. The self-image of the free imperial city of Augsburg is represented by two distinctive ornaments on the large gable on the front of the building: the first is the imperial eagle of the Holy Roman Empire, which represents the importance of the city, and the second is the large copper pine cone, or Zirbelnuss, which is the symbol of Augsburg. The interior of the town hall is also stunning, dominated by the Golden Hall with its stunningly bright gilded coffered ceiling, doors and wall frames with allegorical paintings. You will have 2 hours to explore this magnificent monument during a private day trip. Afterwards, you will have a private transfer back to Munich.

    Excellent Experience- 5+ stars!!

We used DayTrip twice on our recent vacation. First, from Munich Airport to Salzburg with a stop at Eagles Nest at the beginning of the trip and second from the Nuremberg river boat port back to the Munich Airport. Both drivers, Michael and Catuna respectively, provided a fantastic transfer experience. First the company sent us an email well in advance with the name of our driver, a picture, contact info and description to include license plate of transport vehicle. Made it super easy to connect with our drivers. Both arrived promptly for the pick ups (eliminating travel stress), the vehicles were appropriately sized, very clean and comfortable, and driven safely and efficiently. Both drivers were extremely courteous, flexible and pleasant the entire trip, and we were very impressed with the overall service and the efficiency of using the DayTrip service. I would most definitely use DT for future transfer needs!

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Munich.

How much does Private Day Trip From Munich To Ingolstadt And Augsburg cost?

    +

Prices start at $372 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Munich usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Day Trip From Munich To Ingolstadt And Augsburg take?

    +

Is Private Day Trip From Munich To Ingolstadt And Augsburg worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 1 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Munich, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Day Trip From Munich To Ingolstadt And Augsburg?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Day Trip From Munich To Ingolstadt And Augsburg suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Day Trip From Munich To Ingolstadt And Augsburg?

    +

Around 0 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Munich can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Munich and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Day Trip From Munich To Ingolstadt And Augsburg start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Munich within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Munich?

    +

On Outty we rank every Munich experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Guided Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site Tour with Train from Munich, Munich Classic Bike Tour @ 11.30am with Surfers & beergarden stop, Dachau Memorial Half-Day Tour from Munich (Early-Start). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Munich?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Munich?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
