Ante— he is an amazing guide!

We traveled with Ante in March 2026 and he was the highlight of our weeklong-tour of Croatia. He arranged wonderful food tours for us, including going to a family’s Olive estate for an olive oil tasting, demonstration, and lunch. Our favorite experience was visiting Ante’s mom and his childhood home in Bosnia and eating an amazing local meal, cooked over a fire, and hearing about their lived experiences during the Bosnian war. Ante is fun, informative, and detail-oriented. Our trip went seamlessly. We will forever love Croatia thanks to Ante!

    A must-do when visiting Dubrovnik!

This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience to learn about the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina and parts of Croatia that can’t be reached on a traditional tour. Ante makes the experience so personal and engaging and the food his mother prepares is the best you will eat in the entire country! This is the perfect excursion for anyone interested in the region’s rich history and gastronomy - priceless experience!!!

Dubrovnik - Mostar - Farm lunch - boat trip at waterfalls

We had a fantastic day with Ante. He picked us up at our B&B outside of Dubrovnik. It was a beautiful drive along with coast while he talked to us about Croatia, Bosnia, and Herzegovina. We stopped by his family farm for a snack of fresh bread, cheeses, and vegetables. Then we headed to Mostar for a walk through the village and of course over the famous bridge. Ante pointed out which shops were authentic craftsman along the way. We returned to the farm for lunch with his mom of veal and potatoes cooked in the fire in an iron bell. After lunch, we had dessert and local coffee before a look at how their farm grows seedlings for area farms. We then took a boat ride along the River by his house. It was so tranquil, we spotted snakes, turtles, and picked some fruit along the river. The kids had a swim at the local waterfall afterwards, before the drive back to Dubrovnik. It was a wonderful day with Ante sharing his culture with us. I highly recommend a day with Ante.

    Amazing Croatian Feast!

What an incredible and delicious experience. We were a large (24 person) group on a day trip from Dubrovnik to Mostar and Ante's farm was suggested to us for lunch. We were invited into his home where we began our feast with a cheese platter (the feta was sublime), meats, (haunch of homemade prosciutto) and salad. Then, out of a huge oven (actually a fireplace) came large metal vessels of fabulously tender meat, to be served with potatoes and vegetables. There was also, an enormous cheesecake for dessert. All of this was accompanied by wines and sour cherry drinks. ALL of the offerings, whether, cheese, meat, tomatoes, or wine were homemade by him and his mother from ingredients off his farm. Ante was a consummate host and regaled us with some of his history along with that of his beautiful country. živoli Ante, you gave us a fabulous memory. Even one of the teenagers with us, said this meal was one she will remember forever. Thank You!

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dubrovnik and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

    +

On Outty we rank every Dubrovnik experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dubrovnik: Game of Thrones Walking Tour, Panorama Zipline Experience in Dubrovnik, Dubrovnik: 7 Caves & Blue Cave Speedboat Tour (4h). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Dubrovnik?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Dubrovnik?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
