The perfect 1 day tour in Egypt!
It was a fantastic day, Ayaat picked me at the hotel and we visited the citadel, the pyramids and the museum - a 10 hours tour that you don’t get bored. She was super flexible with my time of pick up, since my flight delay. The tour itself was outstanding, she really knows about the history of her country and presents it with passion. As she works on The Great Egyptian Museum, she knows everything about it - the kind of tour that you have goosebumps!! Extra note: I’m celiac and have several food intolerance, she made sure all places we eat where gluten free!

A complete, unforgettable experience
We had the absolute pleasure of touring with Ayat, and I can confidently say it was a five-star experience from start to finish. Her knowledge is truly exceptional-she brings history to life in a way that is both engaging and easy to follow, no matter your background. What really sets Ayat apart, though, is her passion and energy. You can feel how much she genuinely loves what she does, and that enthusiasm is contagious. She is incredibly professional, well-organized, and attentive, yet at the same time warm, approachable, and always smiling. Beyond the core tours, her recommendations were outstanding. Every suggestion she made added real value to our overall experience and showed her deep understanding of both the destination and her guests’ needs. We were, in fact, quite demanding guests, as we visited almost every major monument in Cairo, Giza, and Grand Egyptian Museum-and she was the one who arranged everything seamlessly, including transportation and some excellent spots for coffee and dinner. Most importantly, Ayat has a wonderful character that transforms a simple tour into a truly memorable experience. She creates a relaxed atmosphere that makes you feel taken care of while still discovering so much. Thanks to her, this was not just a guided tour-it was something we will genuinely never forget. Ps: She is a great photographer!

An unforgettable 5 star experience with Ayat
Our experience in Egypt was absolutely unforgettable, and a huge part of that was thanks to our incredible tour guide, Ayat. From the moment we arrived, she was exceptional—professional, efficient, and unbelievably knowledgeable. It truly felt like she knew everything, not only about the Grand Egyptian Museum but also about the history of Egypt as a whole. She explained everything in such an engaging and easy-to-understand way, making the entire experience come alive. Our visit to the pyramids was just as amazing. Seeing them up close was breathtaking, and Ayat made sure we understood their history and significance while keeping everything well-organized and enjoyable. We even had the chance to experience the camels, which was such a fun and memorable part of the trip! And on top of everything, Ayat was a fantastic photographer—she knew all the best spots and angles, and thanks to her, we now have beautiful photos to remember this once-in-a-lifetime experience. A special thank you as well to our driver, Ahmed, who drove us safely and comfortably throughout the journey. We always felt at ease knowing we were in good hands. Ayat’s passion, friendliness, and expertise truly made this trip extraordinary. I couldn’t recommend her more—this was a genuine 5-star experience!

Why this scores 59
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Day Tour to the Grand Egyptian Museum and The Pyramids: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cairo.
How much does Private Day Tour to the Grand Egyptian Museum and The Pyramids cost?
+
Prices start at $95 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cairo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Day Tour to the Grand Egyptian Museum and The Pyramids take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cairo is not rushed.
Is Private Day Tour to the Grand Egyptian Museum and The Pyramids worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cairo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Day Tour to the Grand Egyptian Museum and The Pyramids?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Day Tour to the Grand Egyptian Museum and The Pyramids suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Day Tour to the Grand Egyptian Museum and The Pyramids?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cairo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cairo and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Day Tour to the Grand Egyptian Museum and The Pyramids start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cairo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cairo?
+
On Outty we rank every Cairo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include All-in-One Giza Tour, inside Pyramid, sphinx, Camel ride & lunch, VIP Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx Tour –Inside the Pyramids&More, Best of Cairo Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and Grand Museum Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cairo?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cairo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
