All this in the while you will have your lunch with an appetizers of Bruschetta, salami, cheese. Full Day Herculaneum Pompeii and great food!
I prearranged this private tour for our large group with Gianluca months before our arrival. Working with him and his staff was very easy considering all of our needs and the several tours that we booked. For this full day, Joe was our driver and Guide. He had driven us on a tour of the coast the day before. We enjoyed him and his attention to detail so much that we asked to have him as our guide this day also. Both the Herculaneum and Pompeii archaeological sites deserve a full day, but being that we were short on time in the area, we combined them for a two hour tour in each location. Our guide inside each site was incredibly knowledgeable and expertly trimmed the experience to cater to our needs (some of our group is more mobile than others) so that everyone was able to enjoy the time allotted. This is where we really should have listened to Joe. He had suggested a very authentic pizza experience for lunch but the schedule was for lunch at the winery in the foothills of Vesuvius. The winery was very touristy. The food was OK. There were large groups of tourists there it did not feel private or catered. In the end, our group would’ve gladly skipped and just hit the pizzeria. Now not all was lost…Lunch was scheduled between the Herculaneum visit and Pompeii. After we completed our visit at Pompeii. Joe still took us for dinner at the pizzeria. The restaurant was beautiful. The staff was amazing and he is right the pizza is fantastic! Because of all of the extra attention by Joe, our eight hour day turned out to be 11. He did not complain he just took care of us I cannot say enough about how much we appreciated our time with him!

Our driver, Silvio, was very friendly and working hard on his English! He was very good company. We opted for Ercolano (Herculaneum) over Pompeii and our guide, Fabio, was amazing. They took us to a winery on Mt. Vesuvius, and while the wine was so-so, the lunch and views were delightful.

Amalfi coast day tour
We booked a full day tour on the Amalfi coast with private day tours. I was traveling with my in-laws and my uncle and his wife and the tour was totally tailored to what we were looking for. We visited Positano and enjoyed the great views of the Amalfi coast. We visited Amalfi center and enjoyed the bustling life and the beautiful coastal views. We also visited the Smeraldo grotto and had time for shopping and a beautiful lunch right on the coast. Our guide was Gio and he was very attentive and concerned about all the things we wanted to see and know about. He was patient and always looking out for us and made it just the best time ever :-) I highly recommend this company and their drivers, I am already thinking about doing another trip to the Amalfi coast on my own just because it was so incredible. This is truly the best company I have ever encountered in my travels :-) many thanks to Gio for all the care and time he took to make it such a special trip for us!
