Great tour with lots of information

Due to the size of the museum and the large amount of artifacts, this tour was extremely helpful. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made sure to cover all of the high points. We left with so much great information and memories that will last a lifetime.

Great private tour with local expert

Sayed was our onsite Egyptologist and wow does he know a lot! We had a bit of a history lesson outside the museum while all the tour groups queued up and then walked through the museum at our own pace. It was a great way to see the museum and get more insight into the history without trying to follow a large tour group leader. Definitely one of the highlights of our visit. By next year, this may be at the new Grand Egyptian Museum! As all the tour groups seem to arrive at the museum at 9am, suggest booking your visit a bit later. Not too late in the hot months because the museum does not have air conditioning, but it was fine in early November for us at midday.

What should I bring or wear?
