    Brilliant tour with fantastic guide

Firstly, shout out to Johnny who was our excellent tour guide, very friendly, informative with great English skills. The tour itself was very interesting. Understanding the history behind some of Beijings biggest tourist attractions. We were very lucky and the queues and crowds were small but had a lovely sunny day This is a walking tour and you will do lots of steps. If you're comfortable being on your feet all day doing 20k steps you will thoroughly enjoy this tour. If you struggle with lots of walking maybe look for something else.

Response from the operator: Dear guest, Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience and kind feedback. We truly appreciate your thoughtful review. We will clearly specify the walking details in our tour description to help other guests make better-informed decisions. We are delighted you enjoyed the tour and the lovely sunny day in Beijing. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon! Best regards, -TinyToteTravel Team-

Best way to experience the Forbidden City

This was such a great find as I was specifically looking for a tour that took us to Tiananmen, Forbidden City and Jingshan Park. Lea, the coordinator, was just the friendliest and the most responsive leading up to our tour and helped to address my many questions. She also joined us on the day of and shared recommendations with me and my friend. Jenna, who was our guide for the day, was knowledgeable and personable. She kept us engaged with the history and stories of the Forbidden City. Having a private tour is worth every penny as entry was seamless and though at such crowded sites, we were still able to learn and explore at our own pace. This is highly recommended.

Response from the operator: Thank you for the wonderful review! We’re thrilled you enjoyed the private tour of Tiananmen, the Forbidden City, and Jingshan Park. We will definitely pass your kind words to Lea and Jenna—they’ll be delighted! It’s great to hear you found the seamless experience worth every penny. Hope to welcome you back soon! -TinyToteTravel Team-

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Beijing can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Beijing and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

    +

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Beijing?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Beijing?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
