Tradition has it that if visitors throw a coin into the fountain, they will be assured a return to Rome, two coins will lead to a new romance and three will ensure a marriage. Nearly 3,000 Euros are thrown into the fountain daily and are collected at night. The money is used as charity to subsidize a supermarket for Rome's less fortunate.

Enjoy a stroll through the spacious square that welcomes you with its enormous embracing colonnades. St Peter’s Square is located in front of St Peter’s Basilica. Surrounding the square like embracing arms are the classic 4-column deep Tuscan colonnades surmounted by 140 statues of saints. Saint Paul Outside the Walls, Basilica Papale San Paolo Fuori le Mura in Italian, is one of the major basilicas in Rome, Italy. It is one of the four papal basilicas and is considered one of the most important Christian pilgrimage sites in the city. The basilica's majestic columns stand tall, reaching towards the heavens, as if offering a bridge between earth and divine realms. Carved reliefs, weathered by centuries, adorn the entrance, narrating tales of martyrdom and devotion, their intricate details a testament to the skilled hands of artisans long gone. Every corner of the basilica holds treasures to be discovered. Marble columns rise like sentinels, their smooth surfaces bearing witness to the touch of countless pilgrims who sought solace within these sacred walls. Portraits of popes, their wise and weathered visages, silently observe, reminding all of the unbroken bond between the papacy and the faithful. Mosaics, painstakingly crafted, depict scenes of celestial majesty.

Rome Town & Countryside Tour
This review reflects the comments of two couples. We are world travelers who enjoy private tours. Today we had an opportunity to tour Rome as well as get outside the city and visit Ceri and a lakeside town, I’ll add later Our driver, Radu, was above fantastic. He was on time with a very clean Mercedes Van. His driving was exceptional! His commentaries were wonderful. We learned so much. We visited all the major Rome attractions except Vatican City for which we have a separate tour booked. Lunch in Ceri was GREAT!!! Many opportunities for photos. This was an all day tour. Pick up at our hotel at 9. Back at hotel 5;15

Fantastic Day In Pienza and Montepulciano
We had a fantastic day with a trip from Rome to Tuscany with Stefano's RomeCabs. We were three couples traveling. After pickup at our hotel we were driven to Pienza and Montepulciano. What an amazing day. Our driver was engaging, eager to share his country. He had great suggestions of shops to check out and restaurants. We did a wine tasting in Montepulciano that he also suggested. We used this company many years ago and had a great time and that was continued here. We would definitely book with Stefano's RomCabs again. Thank you!

One day tour of Rome
As always, Rome cabs gave us a wonderful experience. Cesare picked us up at the train station and gave us a tour of his city. We had requested specific places we would like to see and he obliged. We have used Rome Cabs before and recommend them to anyone going to Italy.

From Rome to Pompeii to Positano
My husband and I want to thank Rome Cabs for making our trip to Italy so perfect. They picked us up at the airport, took us to our hotel in Rome, picked us up at our hotel in Rome and took us to Pompeii (and waited fror us) and on to Positano, picked us up in Positano and took us to the Rome airport. There were no glitches. Every pickup was perfect. The drivers were polite and great drivers. We have now used your services on two separate trips -13 years apart. I hope that it will not be as long a wait until the next trip. Thank you.

Great Tour
It was a great experience! We only had 1 day in Rome and Franco took us to see all the main attractions, got to spend a bit of time on each, take pictures. Franco was awesome! Pointing out stuff we needed to know, a bit of history, he was caring (got a bit sick with the heat) and it was a great experience! If you are short on time, we believe this was the best way to experience and see as much of Rome in a day. We loved it!!

Why this scores 62
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Day Tour in Rome with Driver - from Your Hotel: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rome.
How much does Private Day Tour in Rome with Driver - from Your Hotel cost?
+
Prices start at $770 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rome usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Day Tour in Rome with Driver - from Your Hotel take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rome is not rushed.
Is Private Day Tour in Rome with Driver - from Your Hotel worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rome, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Day Tour in Rome with Driver - from Your Hotel?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Day Tour in Rome with Driver - from Your Hotel suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Day Tour in Rome with Driver - from Your Hotel?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rome can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rome and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Day Tour in Rome with Driver - from Your Hotel start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rome within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Rome?
+
Rome runs on skip-the-line access. The Colosseum underground, the Vatican before opening, and the catacombs south of the walls all require a licensed operator, and the price gap between the good ones and the rest is smaller than you would expect. We rank by guide credentials, group size and how reliably the promised access actually materialises. On Outty we rank every Rome experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rome Pasta and Tiramisu Class: Ravioli, Fettuccine & Fine Wine 5*, Pasta Making & Wine Tasting with Dinner in Frascati from Rome, Rome: Pizza & Tiramisu or Gelato Class with Flowing Fine Wine 5*. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rome?
+
April, May, September and October. August is hot and half the city is shut. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Rome?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
