Wonderful experience!
We had the most wonderful experience! Our family of four had never done anything like this before, and walked away extremely happy. Chef Vary was so helpful, patient, knowledgeable and engaging. She tailored the class to exactly what would be best for us. The food was absolutely delicious, and the company was excellent. I highly recommend!

Gluten-Free Cooking Magic in Florence with Chef Vary!
Just had the BEST time with Chef Vary in Florence! We did a private gluten-free cooking class and made pizza, ravioli, gnocchi, and tagliatelle—all from scratch in her dedicated gluten-free kitchen. This was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Florence. If you’re looking for an authentic, fun, and safe culinary experience—especially if you have dietary needs—don’t miss this!

Great Cooking class - gluten free & dairy free
A definite HIGHLIGHT of our Italy trip! This was such a fun class. Chef Vary and her team created a terrific gluten free and dairy free menu. Irene was a great teacher and chef, sharing her knowledge, and letting us do the work. We had a great meal - ravioli, gnocchi, and an alternate Tiramisu. So good - and would highly recommend.

STAY AWAY FROM CHEF VARY
We booked a class for 9 people with high expectations. We were sent a list of choices of what we could cook in the way of pasta. 4 weeks before the class, we chose 3 pastas that we thought would appeal to our group. Chef Vary greeted us and asked who chose the menu. One of our group raised her hand and Chef vary said, "Why did you pick such a boring menu?" Great way to endear yourself to your guests who are paying to be there! what a nasty way to start! She had 4 weeks to make suggestions if she thought the choices were boring. From there it went downhill. She led us through simple pasta making and then took over at the stove with only one person helping...so everyone else sat there and waited....and sat in their phones with nothing to do....when the food was ready, she just left us to eat it and did not engage at all. she was in the front of the shop having wine with other people! Worst cooking class ever. We didn't even get written or emailed recipes to take home. She is dismissive and nasty. DO NOT GO THERE. I have taken cooking classes all over the world and this was by far the least enjoyable experience.

Learning to Cook with Chef Vary is a Delight!
Our family did a private cooking class with Chef Vary. She was an absolute delight. She taught us how to make and prepare three types of pasta from scratch. The results were delicious! Our family had a blast with Chef Vary and learned so much in just a few hours. Chef Vary is super knowledgeable and makes cooking simple and fun. Plus, she has a wonderful sense of humor. Our family highly recommends taking a cooking class with Chef Vary!

Why this scores 47
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Customizable Cooking Class in Florence: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Florence.
How much does Private Customizable Cooking Class in Florence cost?
+
Prices start at $355 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Florence usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Customizable Cooking Class in Florence take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Florence is not rushed.
Is Private Customizable Cooking Class in Florence worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 47 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable family friendly in Florence, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Customizable Cooking Class in Florence?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Private Customizable Cooking Class in Florence suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Customizable Cooking Class in Florence?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Florence can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Florence and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Customizable Cooking Class in Florence start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Florence within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Florence?
+
On Outty we rank every Florence experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best tour in Florence: Renaissance & Medici Tales - guided by a STORYTELLER, Florence Pizza or Pasta Class & Gelato Making at a Tuscan Farm, Small group Tuscan Wineries, Olive Oil & Gourmet Lunch or Dinner. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Florence?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Florence?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
