    What you'll see and do

    1. Imperial Palace

It is hard to imagine that the Imperial Palace with its white walls and black tiles is located near Tokyo Station, where every inch of land is expensive. The residence of the emperors of the past dynasties still retains the charm of the Edo period in the changing times of Japan. Walking around the city along the moat, the walls of Edo Castle are still visible, as the majestic statue of Masanari Kusu, a general from the Kamakura period. In East Gyoen, the lush vegetation, exquisitely carved courtyards, and the huge general's house make people feel like walking into the long memories of Tokyo. It is free to visit the outer part of the palace. Please make a reservation online in advance if you want to go inside.

The Wind Raijin Gate with its huge red lanterns and straw sandals is one of the symbols of Asakusa and even Japan. Sensoji Temple is an ancient temple with a long history and strong incense in Tokyo. You can pray for blessings with the bustling crowd, and it will be even more lively if you catch up with the temple fair. Zhongmise Shopping Street] There are nearly a hundred shops on both sides of the 250-meter-long stone road, many of which are century-old. Such as the ancient tempura shop "Kaminarimon Sansei" in Kyoto, the washi paper created by the master of "Kurodaya", the old Japanese desserts of "Asakusa Plum Garden", etc., are all good choices for purchasing souvenirs. Admission is 500 yen per person.

Reliable transportation and customized to our requests. Company responds quickly to our questions. One driver did not speak English so we had to use a translator.

    Definitely Recommend it!

Our driver arrived to take us a few minutea before the agrees time which was wonderful, our guide is a professional and patient young man without an issue on that day. Booking this was one of the best decisions we could've made, as we were 2 people with some pieces of luggage. I definitely recommend it.

Awesome one day trip to Fuji

We was excited to be able to see Mt Fuji and it was a highlight of our trip. It is really wise to choose this company! There was a very professional customer service who communicated the itinerary with me in advance. The driver picked us up on time on the day of departure, He was very polite and drove excellent. The vehicle was very clean and comfortable. We had a full day of sightseeing, hit lots of key viewpoints of Mt Fuji, and took so many photos. Wonderful day!

rip off, stole money from us!!!

we booked them so they can pick us up airport, they did not do that, then they overcharded us for cars that we did not use, they stole over $600.00 and thet promissed us they would credit us, that never happended, we are still batteling it out, thgis is toatally uncalled for!!

Response from the operator: Hello, I believe you've made a mistake. This is a new product that just launched, we haven't even offered it once, however you gave us a bad review. I don't know why Viator allows you to review it. I have also submitted a complaint, but Viator hasn't processed it yet. Could you please check it again. It's very important for a new product. Thank you.

Private Custom Day Tour in Tokyo (Fully Licensed Operator): questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tokyo.

How much does Private Custom Day Tour in Tokyo (Fully Licensed Operator) cost?

    +

Prices start at $9500 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tokyo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Custom Day Tour in Tokyo (Fully Licensed Operator) take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tokyo is not rushed.

Is Private Custom Day Tour in Tokyo (Fully Licensed Operator) worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tokyo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Custom Day Tour in Tokyo (Fully Licensed Operator)?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Custom Day Tour in Tokyo (Fully Licensed Operator) suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Custom Day Tour in Tokyo (Fully Licensed Operator)?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tokyo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tokyo and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Custom Day Tour in Tokyo (Fully Licensed Operator) start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tokyo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tokyo?

    +

Tokyo is less a city than a stack of neighborhoods with completely different opening hours. A guided food crawl through Shinjuku's Omoide Yokocho gets you past the no-tourist curtains, while the day trips west to Hakone and Fuji need an early start to be worth the fare. Our ranking weighs guide quality heavily here, because in Tokyo the guide is the product. On Outty we rank every Tokyo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tokyo Shinjuku Chopsticks Making Class, Tokyo : Asakusa Chopsticks Making Class, Shinjuku Night Food and Bar Crawl. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tokyo?

    +

Late March to May for blossom, October to November for clear Fuji views. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tokyo?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
