Sightseeing Day of Our Dreams
John was such an incredible tour guide and gave us such an unforgettable experience! We were on our honeymoon and he went out of his way to make sure we were seeing and experiencing things that would interest us. From the sheepdog demonstration to the chocolate stop - we loved all the personal touches. Above all he was just a true pleasure to be around and someone I’d happily spend a day exploring with.

Absolutely amazing day on...
Absolutely amazing day on our private tour with Bogdan! He was so knowledgeable, and fun! A true historian. He personalized our day to make sure it was truly the experience we wanted. He kept a close eye on the weather to ensure the best views at the cliffs. Stunning! He took us to a quaint pub for lunch and a pint to end our day. Couldn't have asked for a better guide! Highly recommend!

Hugo for the WIN!
BOOK THIS TOUR NOW! And if you are extra lucky, you will have Hugo as your guide. I tried communicating with a couple different tour companies directly, but the commutation seemed like AI. So I found a private all day listing on Viator, and jumped on it. Best decision of our trip. We were paired up with Hugo, the most adorable perfect Irish gentleman, who was a joy to travel with. We loved hearing about the country and also about his own family and experiences. Hugo worked so hard to keep us ahead of the weather, which is ridiculously unpredictable, and on a poor visibility day, we still managed to see the cliffs, so our day was a complete success!

We had such a fantastic...
We had such a fantastic experience on our private tour to the Cliffs of Moher with Patrick! He truly made the day so much more than just a trip to see the cliffs. Along the way, he shared stories, history, and local insights, and made several little stops that we never would have known about on our own. It made the drive just as memorable as the destination. Patrick was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and easygoing, and we never felt rushed. One of the highlights was his recommendation for a local pub, where he dropped us off for lunch — it ended up being some of the best food we had during our entire trip to Ireland! The Cliffs of Moher were absolutely incredible, and having Patrick as our guide made the whole experience feel much more personal and special. If you’re looking for a private tour and want to experience more than just the typical tourist stops, we couldn’t recommend Patrick enough. Definitely one of the highlights of our time in Ireland!

Private Cliffs of Moher Day Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Galway.
How much does Private Cliffs of Moher Day Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $656 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Galway usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Cliffs of Moher Day Tour take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Galway is not rushed.
Is Private Cliffs of Moher Day Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 83 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 265 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Galway, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Cliffs of Moher Day Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Cliffs of Moher Day Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Cliffs of Moher Day Tour?
+
Around 93 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Galway can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Galway and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Cliffs of Moher Day Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Galway within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Galway?
+
On Outty we rank every Galway experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cliffs of Moher & the Burren Tour from Galway, Galway to Aran Islands Inisheer, Doolin, Cliffs of Moher Day Tour, Galway to Cliffs of Moher, Aillwee Cave & Dunguaire Castle Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Galway?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Galway?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Private Cliffs of Moher Day Tour?
+
Included: Guided Tour. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
Does Private Cliffs of Moher Day Tour include hotel pickup?
+
Yes, pickup is offered for every traveler from 70 listed pickup locations in and around Galway. Be ready about 10 minutes before the start time. You can also enter a custom pickup address when booking.
What languages is Private Cliffs of Moher Day Tour offered in?
+
It runs in English. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.

+
