    Great Beijing private tour

Our guide John in Beijing was fantastic! He spoke excellent English and was always eager to share his deep knowledge of Chinese culture, history, and landmarks. His explanations were engaging and easy to follow, and he patiently answered all our questions. Thanks to him, our group of 12 had a truly memorable experience exploring the city.

Response from the operator: Dear Friend Thanks a million for your quick and great review, and thank you so much for choosing our travel service, take care! Let us know when your friends or family wanna travel to China in the near future! Our team will look after them well!

    It was great!

He worked with us on our specific needs and want and was very responsive. Even when we changed plans mid tour he was able and willing to accommodate us. We did it with out two young kids (7 and 5) so we really appreciate being with someone who was understanding and flexible and knowledgeable.

    Full day Tour with Terry!

We had a great day with Terry- who was a knowledgeable, and good fun, guy! He related expecially well to our teenage son. He comes strongly recommended!

Expert guide, experienced driver, fantastic sites, and delicious lunch

I did the full-day tour of the Summer Palace, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven tours that included lunch. The tour was expertly led by tour guide Terry along with a driver who was expert at negotiating the city’s traffic. Terry speaks English well and is quite knowledgeable. He was a font of wisdom at each site and was easily able to address all of my questions. Terry also had suggestions for the best spots for photographs. I had another appointment near the end of the appointed tour time, so Terry kept each location’s tour to the essentials. But I’m positive that if requested, he would allow more time for wandering and absorbing the sense of history at each location. The lunch at a restaurant frequented by locals with few tourists was fabulous with bountiful quantities and exquisite flavors.

    Wonderful Tour!

We were in Beijing during the Chinese New Year...there were four of us in our group and we were looking for the best day tour that would encompass as much of Beijing as possible in one day. Terry was fantastic! He has such a great knowledge of the city, and speaks wonderful English. The day is full of walking, so make sure you are in comfortable shoes. We were looking for some places to shop and he gave us wonderful recommendations and went out of his way to find a store for us while we were on the tour. It is those little extra things that he does/says that makes the tour so worth it. I would highly recommend booking any tour with Terry while you are visiting Beijing :)

Private City Tour of Beijing including Lunch: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Beijing.

How much does Private City Tour of Beijing including Lunch cost?

    +

Prices start at $124 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Beijing usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private City Tour of Beijing including Lunch take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Beijing is not rushed.

Is Private City Tour of Beijing including Lunch worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Beijing, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private City Tour of Beijing including Lunch?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private City Tour of Beijing including Lunch suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private City Tour of Beijing including Lunch?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Beijing can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Beijing and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private City Tour of Beijing including Lunch start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Beijing within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Beijing?

    +

On Outty we rank every Beijing experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mubus: Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Tour with Summer Palace Options, Beijing: Top 6 Highlights All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour, Private Mutianyu Great Wall Trip With English-Speaking Driver. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Beijing?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Beijing?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
