The archaeological remains of the ancient city of the Classic in Teotihuacan, represent Mexico in the international area, since it was the first site of our country declared a World Heritage treasure, by UNESCO in 1987. The open area to the public visit has an extension of 264 hectares, where the main monumental buildings complex are concentrated, such as La Ciudadela and Templo de la Serpiente Emplumada (the Feathered Serpent Temple) , the Calzada de los Muertos (roadway of the death) and the residential complexes that flank it, the Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon, the Palace of Quetzalpapálotl and 4 departmental groups with important examples of mural painting, such as Tetitla, Atetelco, Tepantitla and La Ventilla, as well as two other housing complexes called Yayahuala and Zacuala.
