Panzano in Chianti
This winery has been producing wine and olive oil since the 9th century. The estate has belonged to famous families from Florence, including the Strozzi. In 1959 the Palombo family took the ownership of the business and abandoned the mixed agricultural system. Their focus on cultivating solely vines helped them achieve wine of the highest quality. Sangiovese grape represents the largest portion of grape variety planted on their territory. The long-lasting tradition of winemaking is attested by ancient cellars built during the Renaissance. Here you will tour the property, vineyard and wine cellars in which vinification takes place and wines are displayed. Afterwards, you will enjoy a Chianti-based wine tasting with a view.

Greve in Chianti
This winery is a boutique winery, located in the heart of Chianti Classico since 1780, with a vineyard area of 5 hectares and an annual production of about 22,000 bottles. Savignola, whose name has Etruscan origins, was regarded as a Christian settlement and was built around the first half of the 17th century. Marked by an all-female history, it is considered one of the historic companies of the area thanks to the figure of Paolina, who was the first woman to bottle her Riserva in a Bordeaux style bottle. She brought innovation to the historical tradition of Chianti Classico. The ancient barrel cellar of the estate dates back to the 1500s where tradition and innovation come together in the production of their wine. The terroir is made up of deep clay and chalky soil and requires rigorous work to create the perfect conditions for obtaining rich, intense and long-lived wines.

Two Small Wineries, Great Lunch, Wonderful Guide (Angel)
Booked this small group tour for me and my mom. It was fantastic! The "small group" ended up being just us and our wonderful tour guide, Angel. We visited two small wineries, one in a quaint family owned organic winery in Panzano called Le Cinciole and the other a little larger one called Luiano. Both wineries were lovely and had terrific wines. Le Cinciole was our favorite as we received a very nice private tour of the vineyard by one of the workers there. Her name escapes me, but she was absolutely lovely. Friend of the daughter of the owners. You really felt the passion and dedication they put into their wine. The lunch food pairing at Luiano was a nice addition to the tour. It is a 4-5 course meal each paired with a wine from the vineyard. Try their balsamic! We were given a tour of this winery by one of the workers along with some other guests from other tours. It was still not a large group. Angel was a terrific guide. He was friendly and equally both professional and personal. His knowledge of wine was plentiful and could answer any questions we had about different grapes, regions, and even recommendations for other areas to explore. He also gave us some great knowledge on what regions in the US that he recommends for certain types of grapes. Get your Pinots from Oregon! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is looking for a relaxing, fun, and educational experience and not just looking to drink a lot of wine to get drunk. Definitely request Angel as a guide for any of their tours. I know he does quite a bit of them as his knowledge and love of wine, his family, and world travels will be a great addition to your tour. =)
Response from the operator: Thank you for the appreciative words! We couldn't be happier you enjoyed your time with us! Angel sends his best!

A fantastic day!
An amazing day!! We joined Angel back in October. His knowledge of the area was phenomenal, he was such a good guide. We had so many questions and he knew everything! Angel really looked after us! We were celebrating my birthday and we asked if we could make some changes to the tour and reduce the amount of vineyards we visited, he was more than happy to do this. The day was fantastic from start to finish. We highly recommend anything Angel does!!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the lovely review! I'm glad I was able to offer you an experience that lived up to your expectations!

Absolutely recommend!
We just traveled for 2.5 weeks through Italy, Croatia and Belgium (2 younger couples). Our half day wine/food trip to Chianti with Angel was one of the most memorable experiences we had during our entire trip. Angel is a great guide (personable, friendly, knowledgable, funny) who drove us throughout Tuscany for about 6-7 hrs. We visited two remote wineries in Chianti, the first involved a tour of the wine making process and full tasting of Chianti Classico with Italian meats/cheeses. The second stop was a family-owned vineyard with a full course lunch alongside more wine. It was a surreal experience having a private lunch at a Tuscan villa, and this completely exceeded our expectations (which were already high just from the experience of being at wineries Tuscany). We literally could not recommend this tour enough, and would do this again in a heartbeat.
Response from the operator: Thank you for the appreciation shown! We are pleased we were able to offer you one of the highlights of your trip! We are looking forward to having you on one of our tours again! Best regards, Natalia

Private Chianti with Lunch Half Day Experience from Florence: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Florence.
How much does Private Chianti with Lunch Half Day Experience from Florence cost?
+
Prices start at $299 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Florence usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Chianti with Lunch Half Day Experience from Florence take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Florence is not rushed.
Is Private Chianti with Lunch Half Day Experience from Florence worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Florence, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Chianti with Lunch Half Day Experience from Florence?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Chianti with Lunch Half Day Experience from Florence suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Chianti with Lunch Half Day Experience from Florence?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Florence can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Florence and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Chianti with Lunch Half Day Experience from Florence start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Florence within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Florence?
+
On Outty we rank every Florence experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best tour in Florence: Renaissance & Medici Tales - guided by a STORYTELLER, Florence Pizza or Pasta Class & Gelato Making at a Tuscan Farm, Small group Tuscan Wineries, Olive Oil & Gourmet Lunch or Dinner. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Florence?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Florence?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
