    Super fun trip

Romino was a fabulous guide and driver. He was super punctual and very knowledgeable. Knew exact spots and timing of good photos to be taken. He let my son put his playlist in his car for the long drive to Poseidon which was fantastic. Have excellent recommendations for dinner and the food was so good. We definitely recommend his service and tour. Thanks for making the journey memorable for me and my family.

Response from the operator: Thank you! I hope i see you again with your lovely family!

Great experience with enthusiastic and energetic guide

We’ve done our homework and wanted to explore Cape Sounion and just wanted to arrange a car ride. But to our surprise Romino was a super guide and took us to hidden places along the way which we’ve really enjoyed. Lastly, Romino took us to a local seafood restaurant where we’ve had a great grilled fish! Overall, will definitely recommend Romino for local guide.

Response from the operator: Thank you! 🙏

The reference taxi to travel in peace in Athens and its surroundings

In addition to being a decent, punctual and professional person, Romino is an incredible kindness. It also has a real human sincerity: it does not take people only for insignificant tourists! He explains and shows the neighborhoods of his city with passion and stories relating to Athens and Greece, all during a trip in the city. He is a kind and honest person. Trusting him is getting rid of unnecessary stress to have a good time in Athens. Thank you Romino for being the person you are! See you soon, Yves & Sarah

    Great trip, great company!

Traveling with Romino was lovely! It was easy to book, he conveniently picked us up from our apartment, and offered to stop for dinner on the way back. I get carsick but his driving was great so I felt fine, which really helped me enjoy myself. He told us stories with some stops along the way and chatted with us about all sorts of things. As for the temple, the sunset views were phenomenal. Would recommend this trip for anyone visiting Athens!

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your kind words! It was truly a pleasure taking care of your transfer. We’re delighted you enjoyed the experience and we hope to welcome you again on your next visit to Greece. Kind regards, Romino Taxi Athens

Private Cape Sounion & Temple of Poseidon Tour from Athens: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.

How much does Private Cape Sounion & Temple of Poseidon Tour from Athens cost?

    +

Prices start at $250 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Cape Sounion & Temple of Poseidon Tour from Athens take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.

Is Private Cape Sounion & Temple of Poseidon Tour from Athens worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Cape Sounion & Temple of Poseidon Tour from Athens?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Cape Sounion & Temple of Poseidon Tour from Athens suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Cape Sounion & Temple of Poseidon Tour from Athens?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Cape Sounion & Temple of Poseidon Tour from Athens start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Athens?

    +

On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Athens?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Athens?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
