Fabulous, worry- free, tours in Luxor and Cairo!
Really incredible trip to Luxor and Cairo made so easy with Live Egypt Tours. Maro was the main person we liaised with. We had a 1 day tour in Luxor where we visited the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, Luxor temple, Karnak Temple, an Alabaster shop with demo, and a complimentary Felucca ride. The guide was great. Each site was breathtaking! In Cairo we had a day at the 3 Neolithic pyramids of Giza (a view from a camel ride there isn’t to be missed!) The Sphinx, a papyrus shop with demo and the Grand Egyptian Museum. Our guide Maii was excellent! On her guidance we visited the National Museum of Egyptian Civilisation (NMEC) drove round the Citadel in the old town and visited Khan el Khalili (a famous Souk) ourselves- we asked the tour company to arrange the car and driver for that. The royal mummies’ hall at the NMEC was astounding. Overall I’d highly recommend both tours and Live Egypt Tours was easy to communicate with, reasonable in cost, safe and thorough!

It sounds like you made the most of your time, from the awe-inspiring Valley of the Kings and Karnak Temple to the iconic Pyramids of Giza and the fascinating Grand Egyptian Museum. We’re especially glad that Maro and Maii helped make your journey seamless and enriching. The camel ride by the pyramids, the royal mummies’ hall at NMEC, and the vibrant atmosphere of Khan El Khalili are truly unforgettable highlights! Thank you for recommending us! We look forward to welcoming you on another Egyptian adventure, whether it’s a Nile cruise, a visit to Abu Simbel, or another hidden gem of ancient Egypt. Safe travels, and see you again soon!

Personal, private and curated Cairo, Giza, Dahshur & Saqqara Tour
Outstanding end to end service. We arranged a private tour which include airport door to door pickup at both ends of our Cairo break. We had Maii as our guide for two days who was bright, engaging and hugely knowledgeable (also fantastic and helpful with our two small children. Big shout out to Ahmed our driver as well who was helpful and courteous at all times) We felt totally looked after, safe and secure at all times in a very big and noisy city which was really important for us with our children. I think our trip was made so special and the experience so curated to our personal preferences because we used this company, which came from a friends recommendation. Would 100% use them again next time we visit Cairo. Thank you
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We’re delighted to hear that your Cairo Pyramids and Egyptian Museum Tour was such a memorable experience for your family. Providing a personal, private, and curated journey is what we strive for, and we’re thrilled that Maii’s knowledge and warmth, along with Ahmed’s courteous driving, made your trip both seamless and enjoyable—especially with your little ones. Ensuring our guests feel safe, secure, and well cared for in a bustling city like Cairo is a top priority, and we’re so glad you felt at ease throughout your journey. It’s truly rewarding to know that your experience was tailored to your preferences and that we could contribute to making your trip extra special. We deeply appreciate your recommendation and can’t wait to welcome you back for another unforgettable adventure. Thank you for choosing us!

Bucket List trip did not disappoint!
We came to Egypt with our two teenage boys - we fully enjoyed and learned so much! We had a great experience with Maii - a fantastic, knowledgeable guide with perfect English and the most lovely way about her. The pyramids, mythology, history and meaning all came alive for us. We would highly recommend Maii to our friends.

Wonderful Experience
I thoroughly recommend this tour. My guide, Sara, was knowledgable on all aspects of the Pyramids Complex and more so on the must-see exhibits in the Egyptian Museum. I was picked up from my hotel on time, my car was clean and appeared well maintained. I was driven to Giza, my entry ticket was provided to me and Sara brought me all over the complex, including a spot where I could gaze over all three main Pyramids on my own. Believe me, finding a spot where you are alone in Giza is next to impossible. She got me into the complex early enough to beat the main crowd too. I was even offered a camel ride! From Giza I was driven to the Egyptian Museum in Tahir Square. Please note that at the time of writing the museum contents are in the process of being moved to the magnificent new Grand Egyptian Museum - Sara will offer a choice depending on what you want to see. I wanted to see King Tut's treasures, especially the iconic Death Mask so it was the Old Museum for me. NOTE: you are strictly prohibited from photographing the treasures. Don't be a dick like some people and try sneak a picture, the security guys will not take it lightly. Again, I highly recommend this tour, you will feel safe, informed and respected.

Why this scores 70
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Cairo Tour: Giza Pyramids, Sphinx & GEM-Lunch: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cairo.
How much does Private Cairo Tour: Giza Pyramids, Sphinx & GEM-Lunch cost?
+
Prices start at $25 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cairo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Cairo Tour: Giza Pyramids, Sphinx & GEM-Lunch take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cairo is not rushed.
Is Private Cairo Tour: Giza Pyramids, Sphinx & GEM-Lunch worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cairo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Cairo Tour: Giza Pyramids, Sphinx & GEM-Lunch?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Cairo Tour: Giza Pyramids, Sphinx & GEM-Lunch suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 5. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Private Cairo Tour: Giza Pyramids, Sphinx & GEM-Lunch?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cairo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cairo and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Cairo Tour: Giza Pyramids, Sphinx & GEM-Lunch start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cairo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cairo?
+
On Outty we rank every Cairo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include All-in-One Giza Tour, inside Pyramid, sphinx, Camel ride & lunch, VIP Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx Tour –Inside the Pyramids&More, Best of Cairo Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and Grand Museum Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cairo?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cairo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
