We had a fantastic tour. Our guide, Aarti, was amazing and our driver? Ranjit, drove very well in the busy Mumbai streets. I recommend this tour fully.

Most popular places to visit.
Aarti pawan and mukesh served us very well. Aarti is a very concerned and friendly guide. He invited us to Indian tea at his house.
Response from the operator: ¡Muchas gracias por compartir su experiencia! Nos alegra muchísimo saber que Aarti, Pawan y Mukesh los atendieron tan bien. Aarti es realmente una guía dedicada y amable, y nos encanta saber que pudieron disfrutar incluso de un té indio en su casa. Genial
Since I had little time in Mumbai, I took a full-day tour of the main sights and visited a slum. It was a very good decision to get to know the city properly. Mumbai I liked very much – it is a very interesting city with many contrasts. I would definitely recommend a visit to this city, and if you can have Aarti as a guide, you will have a great time as she explains everything in great detail.
Response from the operator: Vielen Dank für Ihre wunderbare Rückmeldung!

Insightful and eye opening tour
Amazing tour with tour guide Aarti. She was knowledgeable and very insightful as she herself lived in a slum earlier in her life. Aarti took me to her home and showed me how an Indian family lives nowadays, which was eye opening. She explained about the arranged marriage traditions, about the culture and the religion. On our way to the 2 locations, she showed me and explained the highlights of the city. The tour in Dharavi was very interesting and Aarti took me not only to see the industrial area, but also the 'residencial' part of the Dharavi. The Bolliwood was also a good experience, first time of that kind for me. You get to see the film making technologies, voice overs and have an overview of the history of the bolliwood cinema over the last 100 years. All in all a very good tour and Aarti has made it special.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear that your tour with Aarti was both insightful and memorable. She will be delighted to know that her personal experiences and knowledge helped you gain a deeper understanding of life in Mumbai, the culture, and traditions. It’s great that you enjoyed exploring both the industrial and residential areas of Dharavi, as well as experiencing the fascinating world of Bollywood. We’re so glad that Aarti could make your tour truly special. Your kind words mean a lot, and we hope to welcome you back for another memorable adventure in the future!

Why this scores 64
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Bollywood with Slum Tour Inclusive of Guide and Transport: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mumbai.
How much does Private Bollywood with Slum Tour Inclusive of Guide and Transport cost?
+
Prices start at $135 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mumbai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Bollywood with Slum Tour Inclusive of Guide and Transport take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mumbai is not rushed.
Is Private Bollywood with Slum Tour Inclusive of Guide and Transport worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mumbai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Bollywood with Slum Tour Inclusive of Guide and Transport?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Bollywood with Slum Tour Inclusive of Guide and Transport suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Bollywood with Slum Tour Inclusive of Guide and Transport?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mumbai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mumbai and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Bollywood with Slum Tour Inclusive of Guide and Transport start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mumbai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mumbai?
+
On Outty we rank every Mumbai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Elephanta Caves & Island Guided Private Tour, Dharavi Slum Tour, Mumbai: Dharavi Slum & Dhobi Ghat Laundry Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mumbai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mumbai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
