The best way to see the Amalfi coast!
The operator, Sebastiano, was quick to reply to all our queries leading up to the tour and it made meeting up with our skipper and getting on the boat very easy! Our skipper for the day, Manuel, was professional and friendly. His expert skills made the trip extremely comfortable. We took the half day trip from Amalfi and Manuel was incredibly flexible with the itinerary - we stopped to swim several times, stopped to tour the Emerald grotto and cruised past Positano (along with many other smaller towns over the course of the four hour cruise). We were also provided with towels, water, soda and Prosecco as well as some snacks. This is truely the best way to experience the Amalfi coast - I will be recommending it to friends and family! 100/10.

Sail day to Capri
We had an amazing sailing day with Sebastiano. The Aprea Mare 10 was comfortable and perfect for enjoying a day on the sea. We spent seven wonderful hours cruising along the Amalfi Coast and around Capri, with a stop in Capri as we requested. Sebastiano was fantastic — friendly, attentive and made the entire day so enjoyable. He recommended a wonderful restaurant in Capri, had Prosecco waiting for us on the boat, and made sure we had plenty of time to stop and swim in the beautiful waters around Capri. We even got to use the Seabob, which was so much fun! It was one of the highlights of our trip and such a memorable experience. We would absolutely recommend spending a sailing day with Sebastiano — you won’t be disappointed!

An unforgettable day!
Our day on the water was phenomenal! Our skipper, Manuel, was the best! Stopped at the best swimming spots, brought us to a delicious lunch and cruised while explaining the beauty everywhere. Absolutely unforgettable! A favorite day!!

MUST DO!!!
Absolutely a must do! If there’s only one thing you do while visiting the Amalfi coast it is booking a private boat tour. We were able to enjoy our time visiting special coves, swimming at secluded beaches and viewing towns at our leisure, the true way to take in the slow paced life here. We stopped at an incredible restaurant in a small town off the beaten path. Buonissimo!! Sebastian is a knowledgeable captain and we can’t wait to come back again!

Why this scores 69
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Boat Tour from Amalfi Praiano and Positano: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Amalfi.
How much does Private Boat Tour from Amalfi Praiano and Positano cost?
+
Prices start at $402 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Amalfi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Boat Tour from Amalfi Praiano and Positano take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Amalfi is not rushed.
Is Private Boat Tour from Amalfi Praiano and Positano worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Amalfi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Boat Tour from Amalfi Praiano and Positano?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Boat Tour from Amalfi Praiano and Positano suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Boat Tour from Amalfi Praiano and Positano?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Amalfi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amalfi and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Boat Tour from Amalfi Praiano and Positano start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Amalfi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Amalfi?
+
On Outty we rank every Amalfi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hands-On Cooking Class & Farmhouse Tour on the Amalfi Coast, Amalfi Coast Boat Rental: Explore, Swim, and Relax at Your Pace, Amalfi: Kayak-Snorkeling to Pandora Cave Hidden Beach & Aperitif. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Amalfi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Amalfi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
