    Relaxing Informative Tour

Nice boat. Captain was very friendly. My mom is older and he was very patient helping her in and out of the boat. It was a very relaxing way to explore Amsterdam’s canals.

    Wonderful sunset canal cruise

The experience was fantastic, seeing the sunset and the bridge lights in a private tour in a classic boat. Our captain, Robertino, was fantastic. He went out of his way to make our trip memorable and dropped us off close to our hotel.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your fantastic review! We are thrilled to hear that you had such a memorable experience watching the sunset and the illuminated bridges from our historic saloon boat. There is truly something magical about seeing Amsterdam from the water during that time of evening. I will be sure to pass your kind words directly on to Robertino! He is a fantastic captain who always loves going the extra mile for our guests, so he will be absolutely delighted to know he helped make your trip so special and convenient with the drop-off near your hotel. Thank you again for choosing us for your private tour, and we would be honored to welcome you back on board the next time you visit Amsterdam!

Perfect Birthday Cruise with the Best Skipper!

We had the most wonderful experience with The Boat Boys in Amsterdam. It was just the three of us, celebrating my friend’s birthday, and everything about the trip felt special. Our skipper, Robertino, was absolutely fantastic - so warm, attentive, and professional. From the very start, he asked what kind of experience we’d like, and he struck the perfect balance between sharing insights and giving us space to enjoy the canals together. We adored the route he chose for us - a beautiful mix of iconic sights and quiet stretches that felt like our own private Amsterdam. What made it even more memorable was how kind he was to drop us off close to our next destination, which made the whole evening seamless. This was such a memorable way to celebrate, and I’m already looking forward to booking again later this year to share the experience with family. I can’t recommend Robertino and The Boat Boys enough!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your extended review and happy to read about your positive experience with our team on board of your private canal cruise. We hope to have the honor in the future to welcome you on board again. Thanks for cruising with us!

    Perfect way to see Amsterdam!

My wife and I had a fantastic time on our tour with Scott. It was so nice to have the boat to ourselves. Yes, it's more expensive than taking a larger tour boat and yes it's worth it! Scott was really knowledgeable about the history of Amsterdam and the architecture.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for leaving a review - we will pass the compliments to captain Scott. We hope to welcome you another time on board of our private boat tours.

Robertino was such a gracious and knowledgeable host. We had just three days in Amsterdam and this boat tour was the highlight of our stay. We highly recommend it!

Response from the operator: Thank you for your great feedback, we are happy to hear that you had a highlight of the trip with us on board!

Private Boat Tour Amsterdam - 90 Min incl. welcome drink on historic saloon boat: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Amsterdam.

How much does Private Boat Tour Amsterdam - 90 Min incl. welcome drink on historic saloon boat cost?

    +

Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Amsterdam usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Boat Tour Amsterdam - 90 Min incl. welcome drink on historic saloon boat take?

    +

Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Amsterdam is not rushed.

Is Private Boat Tour Amsterdam - 90 Min incl. welcome drink on historic saloon boat worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 86 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Amsterdam, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Boat Tour Amsterdam - 90 Min incl. welcome drink on historic saloon boat?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Boat Tour Amsterdam - 90 Min incl. welcome drink on historic saloon boat suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Boat Tour Amsterdam - 90 Min incl. welcome drink on historic saloon boat?

    +

Around 30 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Amsterdam can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amsterdam and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Boat Tour Amsterdam - 90 Min incl. welcome drink on historic saloon boat start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Amsterdam within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Amsterdam?

    +

On Outty we rank every Amsterdam experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Amsterdam Canal Cruise with Local Guide and Small Group, Guided Bike Tour of Amsterdam's Highlights & Hidden Gems, Amsterdam: Luxury Canal Cruise including Cocktails & Snacks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Amsterdam?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Amsterdam?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
