    About this experience

The most peaceful and authentic way to experience the Amalfi Coast. Join us aboard our Classic Sorrentine Gozzo 26-foot boat or our Ferretti 38-foot boat and spend the day discovering one of the world's most beautiful coastlines with an Italian captain. We believe that the best boat tours are not about rushing from one stop to another, but about enjoying the sea, relaxing, and creating beautiful memories. Cruise along the coast while enjoying fresh fruit, chilled Prosecco, snacks, and cold drinks. Swim, explore hidden grottoes, and discover marine life with our snorkeling masks and floating noodles. Admire breathtaking views from the water and learn about the charming coastal villages. If you wish, you can spend some free time exploring one of the towns along the way. Stop for lunch at a seaside restaurant of your choice, accessible only by water. Both boats are equipped with a restroom. We'll be happy to share our favorite spots and help you make the most of your day on the water!

Boat day along the Amalfi coast

This was by far the BEST day trip we did on the coast. Samir was an amazing Captain! He was knowledgeable and showed us all the sights. He knew a great spot for lunch as well. Our family of 7 fit well and our 3 kids had a wonderful day. I would 100% recommend booking this tour!! Worth it!

    Incredible!

Absolutely incredible experience from start to finish! The staff was amazing and shared so much interesting information about all the beautiful towns along the Amalfi Coast. The boat was spacious and perfect for our family of four, making the entire day comfortable and relaxing. We stopped in Positano to explore the town and enjoyed a delicious lunch at a restaurant right next to the sea! One thing we especially appreciated was how convenient everything was from our cruise ship. It was a short walk to the boat, and they made sure we were back with plenty of time to board. This was hands down our favorite experience in Italy and one we would do again over and over. 10/10 recommend to anyone visiting the Amalfi Coast. We will definitely be back!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words, Veronica!! It was truly a pleasure having your family on board and showing you the beauty of the Amalfi Coast. We’re very happy to hear that you enjoyed the day and the comfort of the boat. Knowing that everything felt easy and relaxing for you means a lot to us. Thank you again for choosing us during your trip to Italy. We really hope to welcome you back one day!

    Fantastico !

Boat trip on the Amalfi coast was so worth it. Lucia was easy to correspond with : no language barrier. Semir was our skipper and took us swimming and to a restaurant Santa Groc only accessible by boat.

    Do It!!!!

Semir was amazing! I would make a suggestion to not sit down for lunch at a busy restaurant and waste two hours off the water. My understanding is they can order food for you to take away. We learned a lot and got to see a lot. Thank you guys for the wonderful and beautiful day.

Private boat tour Amalfi Coast: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Amalfi.

How much does Private boat tour Amalfi Coast cost?

    +

Prices start at $1477 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Amalfi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private boat tour Amalfi Coast take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Amalfi is not rushed.

Is Private boat tour Amalfi Coast worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 44 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Amalfi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private boat tour Amalfi Coast?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private boat tour Amalfi Coast suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private boat tour Amalfi Coast?

    +

Around 15 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Amalfi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amalfi and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private boat tour Amalfi Coast start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Amalfi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Amalfi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Amalfi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hands-On Cooking Class & Farmhouse Tour on the Amalfi Coast, Amalfi Coast Boat Rental: Explore, Swim, and Relax at Your Pace, Amalfi: Kayak-Snorkeling to Pandora Cave Hidden Beach & Aperitif. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Amalfi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Amalfi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
