Perfect!

We just had the best day! We booked a self drive boat online a few days ago while on holiday and it was all very easy to do. We arrived a little earlier and the staff gave us our briefing on where to go, where not to go etc. We were given life jackets, a cool box and some goggles. The captain came and got us and drove us out of the harbour. He explained how to drive the boat in great detail and how to use the anchor. We were then left to our own devices and we set off straight to the blue lagoon! It was the most amazing place, I have never seen anything like it. We anchored up and went snorkelling, dived off the boat and went to the ice cream boat for a cold drink. We head back to the just outside the harbour, called the staff and they came and picked us up. Petrol cost 35 euros and were out for 4 hours. It honestly was so perfect and we have made core memories that we will always remember. Thank you!

Unforgettable Blue Lagoon experience with Private Boat

I had an amazing experience with this boat hire company when i visited the Blue Lagoon. From the moment we arrived everything was perfectly organized and the staff were incredibly friendly and professional. The boat itself was in excellent condition and very easy to handle. They gave us masks , snorkels and a coolbox for drinks! I would higly reccomend this boat hire to anyone visit the area.

If you are happy to wait over an hour for your slotted time then go ahead

Our boat for three hours was booked between 2pm to 5pm and we arrived at 1.50pm ready for our boat and instructions. Upon arriving, they mentioned our boat was not back from the previous trip and should only be about 10 minutes. So we went off to get water and a coffee. 10 minutes, turned into 20 minutes, which turned in 30 minutes, which turned into an HOUR. This is really not okay. Then they declared we could have the boat from 3pm to 6pm (which actually wasn't what we wanted), we had a one hours drive back and a diabetic daughter to get home for dinner. If I had wanted to book 3pm to 6pm I would have (as we had booked this prior to leaving UK). It's not really okay to make people wait over an hour. They finally gave a 50euros refund (due to unhappy customers), but this was a bit of a fight to be fair. We decided to go out for 2.5 hours in the end (3pm to 5.30pm) and then they charged us 35 euros in petrol. And if people can't return boats on time, then there should be strict policies on late payment charges so people avoid doing it, so that other customers don't just get pushed to the back. Numerous times, we were told 'the boat is in the port', but it doesn't take a further 20 mins to get the boat back. Think we were fobbed off a little. Once we returned, there was a lot of greek talking prior to being charged 35 euros for petrol, so we felt we were stung for this too due to us getting a 50 euro refund (but maybe not - who knows!). Absolutely would not do again.

Unfortunately, the previous guests returned the boat late, which was beyond our control and we immediately informed you. This was unexpected and outside of our control. Because there were no other boats available at that time, waiting was the only option. To compensate, we offered you an additional free hour on the water as well as a €50 refund, which you accepted. As for the fuel, this is always charged separately and only for what is actually used — not for the time spent on the boat. The €35 charge is completely normal for 3 hours -4 hours of use and is in line with what all clients pay, depending on their speed and distance traveled. We acted fairly, offered both extra time and a refund, and provided the same conditions that apply to all customers. It is disappointing that, despite these efforts, you still chose to leave such a negative review. We wish you all the best. Evangelos

Welcome Welcoming on arrival. But very average friendliness of the person who explained the operation of the boat. Very average condition, inoperative instruments (impossible to control fuel consumption).
